Following similar incidents, I have installed dashcams on my cars. If you have a budget of around 10k, go with the 70mai Pro Plus series. I personally use it; it comes with a secondary camera that can be attached to the back. The other one is from Blaupunkt, which is hardwired and also works well for its price. You can also consider Qubo; I've heard these are also really good for the price. My suggestion is the 70mai, along with a Samsung Endurance SD card, as I faced an SD card corruption issue after 6-7 months due to high temperature/weather.
70mai Pro Plus+ A500S. using it and it's the best I found after using Quobo
clarity if you will use Mai and quobo you will know it
I use the 70 Mai pro plus (dual channel). Good clarity both day and night. Can record timelapse and gps routes. App is easy to use. My sugestion is to buy on Amazon and get it installed either at the dealer or at a local garage.
Its little more than your budget but go for 70mai A500S Pro+ with hardwire kit. Quality is superb, control & management is seamless & with hardwire kit the car stays monitored even when parked. This has features similar to ADAS as well.. If still tight on budget go for A400 Dual Channel, little less features but covers all required aspects, 1440p recording, dual channel.. Anyone you select go for Fuse Hardwire kit, this will swap your existing fuse from the fuse box with an adapter & provide continuous power supply. Your existing fuse also goes in the adapter so no wire cut, no splicing and no warranty issues. Otherwise power supply is via Cigarette Lighter port or USB port but will not provide 24/7 monitoring, car on recording on, car off recording off.
Tragedy averted. Dashcams are a must. I recommend 70mai Pro Plus+ A500S front and back dashcam. Qubo is a decent budget cam too if you're only looking for front.
Got a 70mai A500S front and rear. 275 including install and 25 more for him to come to me to install so €300 total. https://autoelectriciancork.ie/dash-cams/
70mai. Midrange will do. A500s. I have been using for years. Recently add another one to my new car. Get the model with rear camera included. Rear camera is a must. Forget hardwire...will suck your car battery dry. Unless you park outside and live in Klang, it is not needed.
A500 is good enough. All the extra function above A500 is a waste and no use. Android Player: Vecaro ( i am using). Other popular brands, Mohawk, Dynavin, Stinger. Honestly, 360 camera is a waste of money for Myvi. Just install a good rear camera with minimum 1080p will do.
Can vouch for a500s. Bought it 4 years ago and it served me well. No issues till date( fingers crossed)
