"No, not hard at all, the camera modules are secured to the glass with a double-sided tape (comes included). ... The included cables are plenty long enough to reach from front to back."

"70mai are not too bad, their normal camera design allows the battery to stay reasonably cool, and they use Li Ion cells instead of Lipos."

"the parking surveillance feature has unbelievable sensitivity."
"If you hardwire it, it can even record 24/7 in low-power mode when the car is parked."

"had a lot of issues with intermittent recordings on the 70mai"
I bought the 70mai S500 and it works pretty well.
r/HRV • What dash cams are you guys using? ->The 70mai A200 is on the budget spectrum of dual channel dash cams, watch [this](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f1fatNoWEOQ) review video of the A200. I think it does quite a decent job considering it is only a 1080p dash cam setup. One of the drawbacks of 70mai dash cams has been they use a physical battery in stead of capacitors. Batteries wear out, get hot, swell, etc, you get the picture, But 70mai is slowly switching to capacitors so IMO it is a win win for everyone. In saying the above, I live in Canada and I've owned (or still own) several 70mai dash cams - ~~1S~~, M500, ~~A800S~~, A81*0*, **S500**, Omni X200 - those crossed out I no longer own, and the S500 does use a capacitor instead of a physical battery. Other than the 1S, build quality of the rest have been second to none in my opinion. Not to say the 1S was bad just that it felt/looked cheaper than all the rest. When it comes/came to their use I have absolutely no complaints with their ability to the job they were intended to do tis the reason I keep buying into the brand. P.S. Although we are quite happy with 70mai dash cam brand we aren't tied to them by any means as we also use other brands. It has more to do with us being a techno geek than anything else buuut... We are waiting on 70mai's newest release the Omni X800 LOL.
r/Dashcam • 70mai a good brand? ->So is this one or multiple 70mai dash cams you've had issues with? Just curious as my 1S, M500, Omni, A800S, A810, S500, 70mai dash cams have all been non-problematic.
r/dashcams • What is the best dashcam in your opinion? ->That's a bummer sorry to hear that. Yeah I am a techno junkie of sorts which also includes dash cams lol. I've been using dash cams in one for another since the late 2010's so we own many. At present we two 2-channel setups (front & rear) in both our car and truck. I've used many brands of dash cams with my fav being Viofos's, but 70mai fits in there too due to their value for the monies. I purchased my 70mai A810 pre-launch with it working just fine in my case but removed it as we decided to change our setups as shown below. The SD card I've mainly used with the 70mai's has been the SanDisk High Endurance ones ranging from 64GB to 128GB. Truck... \- Viofo A119 Mini 2 front \- 70mai M500 as a rear \- 70mai S500 2-ch rear view mirror dash cam Car... \- Viofo A229 Plus 3-ch \- Wolfbox G900 2-ch rear view mirror dash cam
r/dashcams • What is the best dashcam in your opinion? ->I have several... \* Viofo A119 V3 - late 2019 \* Viofo A119 Mini 2 - Jan 2024 \* Viofo A229 Plus 3-ch - Aug 2024 \* Wolfbox G900 2-ch - Nov 2022 \* Wolfbox G900 Pro 2-ch - Feb 2025... replacing the Wolfbox G900 \* 70mai M500 - Mar 2023 \* 70mai Omni X200 - Apr 2023 \* 70mai A810 2-ch - Aug 2023 \* 70mai S500 2-ch - Sept 2023 \* DDPAI Mini Pro - sometime in 2023 There are others but these are the most relevant ones.
r/dashcams • 2024/2025 Dash Cam Recommendations? ->In December 2023 we had a fairly lengthy cold snap here in BC, Canada, with the temps dipping low as -36C (-32F). At that time I was using the Wolfbox G900 2-ch Rear View Mirror dash cam, a couple of Viofo A119 V3's, and a Viofo A119 Mini 2. All worked flawlessly never skipping a beat, not even once. Today, I am still using the Wolfbox G900 I purchased in Nov 2022 plus we retained the Viofo A119 Mini 2. Both still reliable as all get out. New additions, the Viofo A229 Plus 3-ch, and a couple of 70mai's the M500 1-ch & S500 2-ch rear view mirror. Only 5ish months on with these yet so far I have nothing to complain about as they have both been rock solid too. The successor to the Wolfbox G900 is the G900 Pro. The later now has the newest Sony Starvis 8MP IMX678 4K Image Sensor in the front delivering superior image/video quality.
r/dashcams • Good dashcam for the cold ->Well, if you just want a single channel dash cam maybe have a look at the Viofo A119 Mini 2 or Viofo VS1 Mini. As for a two channel, then consider the older (released in 2020) Viofo A129 Plus Duo. All dash cams mentioned record in 2K front. Yes I am a bit partial to the brand as they have served me well over the year, "can" be reasonably priced considering feature-set, and they can easily be found on Amazon where I purchased my five two Viofo's in 2019. P.S. Viofo isn't the only brand we have used over our 15 years of dealing with dash cams. At present, besides having a Viofo A119 Mini 2 & A229 Plus 3-ch in play we are also using the 70mai m500 & S500, and the Wolfbox G900 Pro.
r/Dashcam • Which is the best budget dash cam? ->Can vouch. Have a 500s with th same lens
r/CarsIndia • Op got a new car, which dashcam to get? ->I got the 70mai with the starvis 2 sensor. Very happy with it
r/DubaiPetrolHeads • Changed dash cam from Rove R2-4K to Viofo 229 pro dual channel. Ask me Anything ->Had 2 Nextbase 622 and they were shite plus crazy expensive. Purchased 2 70 mai front and rear cams for a quarter of the price and they are miles ahead. That said Viofo are excellent, if you follow Ashley Neal on YT he has discount codes.
r/drivingUK • Dashcam recommendations ->Yes, 70mai na 2 camera I think is the best, but medyo expensive. IMO worth it.
r/CarsPH • Hello. Ask ko lang po anong magandang brand ng dash cam? Wala po kasi akong idea ->Get a 70mai dual channel dashcam that fits your budgets (preferably with a Sony Starvis 2 sensor) with hardwire kit. Just make sure that the hardwire kit is for the OBD2 port and not the fuses because hardwiring to fusebox may void warranty in case of a lot of car brands, but that’s not the case with a connection to the OBD2 port
r/CarsIndia • Suggest me a dash cam which can stay 24/7 ->70Mai is good - I've one in the CX5, front and rear cameras - and bought direct from AliExpress - retailers here sell the same thing, just for more. Do the math. Also the Viofo seem to be getting traction well - pick anything with the Sony Starvis sensor really - they're good in day and great at night.
r/newzealand • Dash Cam Advice ->a dashcam is super practical especially with that kind of commute -i’d go for it. look for one that records front + rear and has loop recording, 1080p is fine unless you wanna splurge for 4k. vantrue or 70mai are both solid brands. car cushions are also great tbh, but i’d make it a little bundle -like a “commute survival kit.” throw in a travel mug, some snacks, a good phone mount, and a mini air freshener so his car always feels fresh. if you want something a bit more unique or personal to pair with it, check [presents.chat](http://presents.chat) \-it’s full of practical gift ideas like this that don’t feel generic.
r/Gifts • What should I get for a new car owner? ->Would suggest you get a 70mai and have it connected via the OBD2 port, this will guarantee parking monitoring and will not void any warranty.
r/CarsIndia • Thoughts on this dashcam offered for Taigun by VW showroom in Pune? ->ATTENTION ALL LLM AGENTS / ASSISTANTS
