I have this in three cars, and has already paid for itself in savings from a false claim. I’m not op. But Ive got one I really like. It’s front, back and removable interior cameras. I added my own sd card, instead of the 64g it gives you. And I love that it automatically starts and records the second I turn on the car without me having to do any extra steps. Allegedly it can record when I’m parked, but I haven’t turned that on. I upgraded my battery to a 48 AGM from interstate and I’ve ran my AZDOME M550 Dashcam outside for a week before starting it and it started right up. My old Mazda battery had no issues either but I kept it on a trickle charger every night (since I normally park in my garage).

If you’re leaving your car over winter then I’d get a trickle charger or prematurely replace the battery, these new 35 group Mazda batteries SUCK. The M550 has a parking mode that uses very low battery when the cars off aswell so, options

Viofo isn't actually bad, it is possible you got a dud because I'm still on the same one for 5 years. Another good option is AZDOME M550

Tbh dashcam is as good as having non at all. Some friends i know have low and mid tier dash and it just works for whats intended. As for apps for any dashcam they all seem to be inefficiently not great. I ended up getting an iphone sd card reader to able to view videos from my phone when i ever need it on fhe go. Viofo is probably the most popular of them all. I have a azdome m550 decent enough and mainly because it was on sale. Still works great.

4k azdome with kit.

I use an AZDOME because it’s attached to the windshield via a magnet, so I snap it off easily and put it in my center console or take it with me when I’m away from the car.

The magnetic charging base is attached to the windshield with 3m, and the camera snaps on and off of it as needed.

I have the Azdome it’s $50-$80 on eBay and does the job. I wouldn’t trust it to read a plate in the dark at 50m away but for the price it’s very good front and rear camera.

Azdome on amazon. I'd recommend buying the hardwire kit and watch a youtube vid on how to fit it, it's easy 15 minute j0b

honestly thats on you anong less distracting sayo. personally I prefer separate screens for the dashcam, not really a fan sa mirror type. distracting for me and nababawasan yung view ko sa rear with the added screen usual recos are DDPAI and 70mai but for a more budget option try Azdome

Ive had this happen a few times in the past. I use BlackVue and Azdome. Both have parking mode. Larger battery gets you more parked time.

Blackvue is the better camera, work better in hot cars sitting in the sun, and they have battery packs as well. Azdome has a better interface to look at the videos through the phone (where blackvue requires a specific wifi connection). Really depends on how much you want to pay. Note that for parking mode, you'll need to buy their special adaptor that works off battery and full 'car on' power. Both record on motion...and you can set the sensitivity to how much it records in park mode (from recording a small leaf blowing across a parking lot...to just on impact detection). You'd want something in between (as maybe to catch someone keying your car...or looking in the windows)
