I have this in three cars, and has already paid for itself in savings from a false claim. I’m not op. But Ive got one I really like. It’s front, back and removable interior cameras. I added my own sd card, instead of the 64g it gives you. And I love that it automatically starts and records the second I turn on the car without me having to do any extra steps. Allegedly it can record when I’m parked, but I haven’t turned that on. Viofo isn't actually bad, it is possible you got a dud because I'm still on the same one for 5 years. Another good option is AZDOME M550

I have the Azdome M550 Max for my xc90, and it works amazing! Don't know much about technical details, but I bought an extra product from them that enables 24/7 recording even when the car is turned off using extreme low voltage current from the battery. If you're not good at wiring management or know electrical engineering kinda stuff, get the wiring done by a local shop and they'll do it for minimal charges. It definitely helped me to identify on my Honda who scratched it at night because we have to park in public spaces and turns out it was a kid riding a bike too close to my other car. Tbh dashcam is as good as having non at all. Some friends i know have low and mid tier dash and it just works for whats intended. As for apps for any dashcam they all seem to be inefficiently not great. I ended up getting an iphone sd card reader to able to view videos from my phone when i ever need it on fhe go. Viofo is probably the most popular of them all. I have a azdome m550 decent enough and mainly because it was on sale. Still works great.

I upgraded my battery to a 48 AGM from interstate and I’ve ran my AZDOME M550 Dashcam outside for a week before starting it and it started right up. My old Mazda battery had no issues either but I kept it on a trickle charger every night (since I normally park in my garage).

If you’re leaving your car over winter then I’d get a trickle charger or prematurely replace the battery, these new 35 group Mazda batteries SUCK. The M550 has a parking mode that uses very low battery when the cars off aswell so, options

I have the Azdome it’s $50-$80 on eBay and does the job. I wouldn’t trust it to read a plate in the dark at 50m away but for the price it’s very good front and rear camera.

I have an AZDOME and it sucks . Looking for recommendations as well
