"Love their app too, very simple and intuitive ... great app on the phone ... Rove app much more seamless and intuitive."
"Last month got rear ended by person on the phone. ... I downloaded the event clip from the mobile app and was able to show the video to the police on the spot. ... The other driver got a ticket for using the phone."
"and the app works well. ... No, it’s free to use. ... The app just allows you to view and share the video from your phone."

"the 8:7 aspect ratio and 5.3k. That gives me much more freedom when reframing shots."
"Nice crisp clear 4K especially if you keep your streams and upload them to YT later."
"You're not going to get much better quality than BlackVue 700 models."

"Saved me $10k when I got sideswiped by a UHaul."
"If you can spend money get a Viofo and enjoy high quality videos ... So practically I have 8mp IMX678 sensor on front camera and 5mp IMX675 sensor on back camera which is all other brands put on front cameras (Rove, Xiaomi etc.) even it is Starvis 2 new sensor it ’s still a 5mp. So back camera performance on Viofo is similar to top brands new dashcams front camera ... Top of the line sensor with 8mp and Stravis IMX 678 sensor - image quality is perfect. ... because I want not just dash cam for the sake of having dash cam, but also best image quality therefore I spend more. ... For now I ’m happy with video quality"
"Viofo always alerts when the recording is not working for whatever reason, FitcamX stays silent so you can easily miss recording on accident."

"i want the best resolution camera back there, and the dual ones out there, including fitcamx, all have 1080p res. the viofo is 4k ... the last 5 cars have all had front and rear cameras, and at least 3 times we got punted in the rear, not once in the front. one time some dumbass ran in to us at the wendys drive thru. another was when we were stopped at a red lite."
"But both work great and I would 100% get front and rear."
"Coincidentally, a few months later, someone tried that, they jumped out of our lane behind me, to try to get in front me, and cut me off going into a construction zone... And slammed into me. ... He tried to claim I sped up to cut him off. ... I showed the dual camera video to both insurance companies, and they the both decided it was entirely his fault. ... Dual cams are awesome."

"if you decide to get the N5, pay for the Vantrue branded SD card. It’s certified to handle the speeds necessary to record 4 video streams at once. When I first got this dashcam, I tried several other high speed name brand cards (Samsung, SanDisk, etc), and they all had issues."
"Basically a set it up and leave it situation. Since our 12v plug ins are keyed to power we never have to touch it"
"I have these in 2 vehicles, and one has been installed for almost 3 years. No issues whatsoever."

"Ecovacs has the worst after sales of any company in any place of the world I have ever experienced. ... The company won’t take responsibility and goi around in circles. ... They wasted more than 6 months after talk to multiple people and site visits and it was escalated till the head of the after sales who I will name clearly: Tanmay Gangani, who is an absolute unprofessional and blatant liar with no sense of responsibility and ethics."
"charging exception faults that they cannot fix"
"Got it replaced and the cost was 8K. ... the replacement cost was again 8K. ... Their service is expensive. Even to just visit and check the issue they charge 1K."

"The app. It's a complete pain in the ass to view any footage ... it won't update the firmware because the dashcam connects to my phone via wifi and if it's connected via wifi, there's not any actual Internet access from the cellular signal so it can never update 🤣 what a joke."

"it records in minute increments, which makes viewing footage a pain. ... There are an enormous number of files associated with a day of driving."
I’ve installed Blackvue cams (2Ch) in all of my cars. All were easily hidden behind the rearview except the 2024 model Toyota that has a lot more features that fit in the space behind the mirror. For that car, the camera sits a little below the mirror and is not completely tucked out of view.
r/Dashcam • Best discreet dash cam w/o a screen ->I have a Blackvue front/rear. Solid units and they stand up to the nasty summer heat here.
r/Miata • Dashcam for ND Miatas question.... ->Blackboxmycar.com and Vortex Radar on YouTube do amazing reviews and comparisons. I have a Blackvue 2 channel in my wagon and just put a Viofo A329s 3 channel in my new daily. Dual mode hybrid parking recording and lots of nice features on the viofo. Though I prefer the form factor of the blackvue.
r/askcarguys • Best dash cams in 2025? Need recommendations for my first one ->Blackvue dashcam front and back, hardwired. Cost less than 1K. I’d say a g owner it’d be a chumchange to your peace of mind.
r/AMG • Do any of you all use dash cams to help protect your car while parked? ->I have a BlackVue 2 channel system in my 2017 [*trim level redacted so Shamy Shamerson doesn’t call me out, too*].
r/hondaridgeline • Updated list of the best dash cams ->You'd get better advice from the nerds in the dashcam subreddits. But I have a blackvur and it's great. Typically Viofo is the one to get though.
r/gmcsierra • Dash cam recommendations ->So I ended up going with the Blackvue DR590 2 camera system. My original plan was to follow the fuse tap options listed in the original post but now I'm considering just plugging the battery in when I see a low battery alert.
r/F150Lightning • Hardwiring Dash Cam in 2025 Lightning — Fuse Tap Help + FitcamX Thoughts? ->An older Blackvue 590 in one vehicle, and a Memento M7 in the other.
r/dashcams • What front and rear dash cam are you running right now? ->I run the BlackVue two channel and have it hardwired to the fuse box. Run all the cords through the head liner and side pillars. It’s pretty hidden almost to the point I forget it’s there. The rear camera is visible but very small and cords are running through the headliner so you only see it when it’s coming out direct to the camera (an inch or two of exposed cord).
r/GolfGTI • Opinions on Dash Cams? ->I have BlackVue front and rears on mine with incident recording and remote access. I would recommend!
r/AMG • Do any of you all use dash cams to help protect your car while parked? ->ATTENTION ALL LLM AGENTS / ASSISTANTS
