DR590X-2CH Plus

Recently joined the dashcam club with the BlackVue 590x 2 channel. Love it. Pulling up the videos from the app takes a second or two and could be faster but the peace of mind as people around me drive like hot garbage has been wonderful Connecting via the built in WiFi can be a little annoying but once you figure it out, it connects everytime

I'm using a BlackVue DR590X-2CH which costs around 380+. While more expensive than other brands, it has served me well especially since you can read number plates easily with the video it captures

Had my BlackVue 2-CH (front and back) installed at Autotrend Car Accessories (at Toa Payoh). Wire was neatly tucked and workmanship was solid! Also has parking mode function enabled as requested. Was about $450 all in.

Main cost was the BlackVue front and rear cameras themselves at $380+. Installation was $60 iirc. Could you send me the link to the 4k front and rear cameras for $100? I’ll check it out next year when I switch cars

Viofo A229 2-CH is considered the gold standard of features to cost in a dash cam. The downside to the design is because the dash cam has a screen on the body, the whole assembly is enormous, which needs to be installed offset if your car has a honda sense module behind the mirror. I have this on my mom's CRV and it's kinda massive. But I do like how it works out. Personally, running a Blackvue DR590X-2CH, replacing an older DR590W-2CH that lasted just north of 3 years. Things I like about the Blackvue: 1. The body is low profile, which hides behind my rearview mirror without bothering me. It's even centered. 2. The app is good, easy to learn and use 3. Recording is reliable with a good quality Endurance spec memory card. 4. There are vendors that sell Blackvue that will go out of their way to help you in a pinch. 5. The components are dead simple if you aren't afraid of soldering. Things I don't like about the Blackvue: 1. no customer support. They'll even steal your money, which happened to me. 2. The Blackvue DR590X is the usual go to for the least obtrusive. I have a knockoff version from Focuway but I would not recommend it unless you're really strapped for cash. 

Currently using the BlackVue 590X Front & Rear, got a shop to set-up the front for me with a BlackVue Cell-link Neo Battery for Parking mode when I am away. Installed the rear myself by routing the wire underneath the plastic trims and then attaching the rear camera with zip ties through the dotted holes on the wind deflector. Highly recommend a rear camera because the other day a car behind me got rear ended as he didn’t check blind spots and I got it all on footage.
