I've been using BlackVue dashcams for quite some time, and my current setup is with the DR750X-2CH.

r/COROLLA • Dash Cam Recommendations ->I've used BlackVue dash cams for a while and have found that the DR750X2 meets my needs perfectly. It records both front and rear views, and hardwiring it to my battery was a smooth process.
r/dashcams • Best Dashcam? ->I wouldn't say "out of sight" for mine either but Blackvue(at least the older ones) have been relatively good for me. I have the 750x model but I plan to upgrade. 1080p sony camera, dual channel and a night mode. The app isn't great, and you may need to change the sim card to a name brand instead but it's almost lasted me 8 years, and 3 car upgrades. Went from 2016 WRX, to 2012 350, to finally ISF. Currently using add-a-fuse method for power. Simple as sticking your cameras on, plugging in power, and then figuring out which fuse is constant and accessories in the fuse box with lowest interference then tucking in the wires.

I can't recommend a back up camera, but for a dash cam I have always used blackvues. Owned a 750 and a 970 for different cars and they're both great. I don't mess with the cloud storage or the batteries, I run off the car battery. They record 24/7 to the front and I added my own storage, were easy enough to install myself if you know how to watch some youtube.
r/hondapilot • 2025 Pilot- dashcam recs? ->Eventually the capacitors and RTC battery will fail. Blackvue and Thinkware tend to see that start occurring after the 5 year mark. The camera will often still run, but will shutdown immediately losing the current video segment. I have a pair of old Blackvue 750s still going strong, but their days are numbered. There's a fair number of things to go wrong with dash cams. Garmin consumer cams rarely make it beyond two years, with capacitors rarely being the cause.
