Second for Blackvue, but a DR-750X 3ch is what I have. I also have a Blendmount rearview mirror mount for the front/main camera body.
Finances is fair -- the market for dashcams is massive now. There are some new ones for less than $50 out there. The used market is massive with endless deals less than $100. For example, I'm about to list my Blackvue 750x Plus 3ch for $100 (MSRP is between $400-$500).. We spent about $100 on our first one and it saved us $500 within the first year with our deductible.
when you say interior are you thinking of NOT having a rear cam? I assume you do not in which case you need a 3-cam system. Blackvue has the best low-profile that I know of but I had issues with their lousy/unresponsive support so had to go with one that has a screen. ended up with a 2-cam viofo and it’s a lot lower profile than I anticipated…fits pretty well behind my 2014 Accord mirror. you can turn the screen off completely and use the app - which is what I do since the screen is tucked up behind the mirror (the screen can be turned off/on by voice command which is nice). but yes…you need 3-cam which will run you a bit more!
BlackVue DR750X's parking mode delivers, consistent footage in parking lots, no hassle with extras.
I bought my Blackvue 750 in 2019. It failed after about three years and they fixed it for about $100.00. it still seems to be doing fine. I live in Arizona and while I use a garage and don't have to park in the sun all the time, it still gets really hot in the car.
I really like my BlackVue. I have an older 750 and a newer 950, not sure what models they have now. I don't mess with the cloud storage or the batteries, I run off the car battery. They record 24/7 to the front and I added my own storage, were easy enough to install myself if you know how to watch some youtube.
Eventually the capacitors and RTC battery will fail. Blackvue and Thinkware tend to see that start occurring after the 5 year mark. The camera will often still run, but will shutdown immediately losing the current video segment. I have a pair of old Blackvue 750s still going strong, but their days are numbered. There's a fair number of things to go wrong with dash cams. Garmin consumer cams rarely make it beyond two years, with capacitors rarely being the cause.
Blackvue 1080p 60fps, yeah its great. No frills, no battery to explode (uses a supercapacitor instead to save video after shutdown), and the sd card is really easy to get files off with a small usb c to micro sd adapter
I had a NextBase hardwire but it was crap and worked intermittently. I now use a blackVue Front and rear which my brother hard wired in with relative ease. It does drain the 12v battery if you only do short journeys and leave it on standby I recently purchased a 12v charger as I do relatively short journeys and don't keep the battery charged up enough
Nextbase are the worst dashcams and their customer service is just as bad. Had to file a chargeback for a refund with them. 1080P in itself is fine on a decent dash cam. I have a blackvue front and rear dash cam and it's crystal clear at 1080 compared to my 4k nextbase one
For fleet we often do blackvue DR-series with a tamperproof case. That way, it can not be unplugged. Some options for LTE models for remote viewing capabilities. Pricing will vary depending on where you are.
