Depends on your budget and preference of tech. Mines unnecessarily expensive to buy upfront and has a monthly charge, there's cheaper but I like it Blackvue DR770X LTE. It's hardwired, with an auto off to not kill battery, it has impact, manual, motion sensor and auto recording. Its always on ans trims footage into 1 minute clips. Footage is then streamed to an app on your phone you can download share etc. For this it has a sim card that costs me 9.99 a month. But much easier for me than battery or storage card options. Pretty good quality too.
r/drivingUK • Dash cam recommendations ->Depends on budget and preference of tech. I have Blackvue DR770X LTE Front and rear. Its hardwired, has auto cut out for low battery ans is always record except auto cut out. It condsenses clips into 1/2 minites when driving and has motion and impact. It uses a SIM card you have to pay monthly for to send clips direct to an app you have and you can view and save direct to phone You can also do live view if you want to wake it up. Its pricey but good
r/drivingUK • Dashcam recommendations ->Blackvue DR770x LTE is one of the better options. It connects and uploads when there are events, but you can't just connect to it on demand. It has minimal impact on battery life , so should last 4-20 hours with the vehicle battery depending on the vehicle and settings. A second vehicle battery or dash cam battery pack can extend that.
r/Dashcam • Dashcams with remote LTE viewing? ->Blackvue lte dashcam or a cloud connected dashcam that can connect to a hotspot will give you remote access and notifications
r/dashcams • Dash Cam reccomendation that I can access from my phone while car is off? ->I have blackvue LTE 2 channel with its own battery pack. Amazing camera.
r/MazdaCX90 • Best dashcam for Mazda Cx70/90 ->I running blackvue lte 2ch running of a battery pack also blackvue. No issues with car battery dying. Easy set up..
r/mazda • Dash Cam for 2025 CX 70 ->Blackvue DR770X two-channel, which I got direct from Blackvue and had CarTrendz install. Works great, although it didn't love geting parked in direct 100+ degree heat this summer. Not sure any camera would like that though...
r/nova • Dashcam installation ->You're not going to get much better quality than BlackVue 700 models.
r/Dashcam • Can I use 2 separate dash cameras in my car? One system with LTE and the other without? ->Went with an a329 viofo, works perfectly and the number plates are a lot clearer, my prior 770 blackvue that kept blurring plates, got autobarn to install and it was seamless, brilliant dash cam
r/CarsAustralia • Dash cam recommendations. ->I've had a lot of success with the Blackvue Range. The DR770X is a great model. If a little on the pricey side. The DR970X has 4k resolution. Feel free to contact me if you need any help 😊
r/dashcams • Best dash cam? ->Blackvue 770x or 970x both 2-channel. Use battery backup as well. Install was straightforward.
r/Subaru_Outback • Recommendation on Dash cams 2025 outback ->I had a BlackVue DR770X two channels professionally installed on my 2023 it was not cheap basically the installation cost was equal to the cost of the hardware. Some people said I should have gone for three channels which would record inside the car as well to prove your not driving recklessly or distracted and I know Uber and Lyft drivers usually opt for 3 channels. There are YouTube videos on installing and running the wires if you are DIY. Otherwise you can call car stereo stores or Best Buy and get an idea of what products they have and the cost.
r/NissanRogue • Dash Cam ->I got the best one at the time, which was around $1000 for the dashcam and $300 for the battery pack. But Black Vue sell all sorts, just make sure you have a dual cam, that is front and rear.
r/melbourne • Given the general level of sketchiness of Melbourne drivers, I don't think a dash cam is optional any more. ->I run the BlackVue two channel and have it hardwired to the fuse box. Run all the cords through the head liner and side pillars. It’s pretty hidden almost to the point I forget it’s there. The rear camera is visible but very small and cords are running through the headliner so you only see it when it’s coming out direct to the camera (an inch or two of exposed cord).
r/GolfGTI • Opinions on Dash Cams? ->https://preview.redd.it/cilhk57buz7e1.jpeg?width=3000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=30d85f62c450a09a25287bd0e2e3eb86db98305c We use Blackvue, two channel for front and rear, and married to a B124X battery to allow the dashcam to run whilst parked for up to 24 hours independently of the car battery.
r/Subaru_Outback • Dash cam reccomendation 2025 Outback ->Currently using a Blackvue two-channel model on our 2021 XV. Never had any issues. Dashcam is married to a Blackvue B112 battery that keeps the dashcam independent of the car battery and can run the dashcam for up to 12 hours whilst parked. https://preview.redd.it/tr3bu7gr8gbf1.jpeg?width=3000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=29a03356c531767120add2fceb922c5efee4258a
r/subaru • Best Dashcams? ->Same dashcam on our Outback but a B124X battery that runs the dashcam for up to 24 hours whilst parked. https://preview.redd.it/lpnq0dn19gbf1.jpeg?width=3000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3e6f04f3824f7604357bc26b041e0bdffad368c5
r/subaru • Best Dashcams? ->We use Blackvue in both our cars - two channel models for front and rear cam. My car's dashcam is married to Blackvue B124X battery to allow the dashcam to run whilst parked for up to 24 hours, and my other half's car runs the same dashcam but on a B112 battery which is the same technology, but smaller, only allowing the dashcam to operate for up to 12 hours whilst parked.
r/CarsAustralia • Saved by at Fault Drivers Dash Cam ->I experienced horrible customer service with BlackVue when rear cam in 2 cam setup died 50 weeks into 52 week warranty period. “4k” image isn’t even all that great.
r/MachE • What dash cam are you all using for the MachE? ->Blackvue 2 chanel camera. Get it with WiFi but no need for cellular connection as that is for people who operate fleets like taxis. Can get them with 1080 front and rear or 4k front with 1080 rear. It's a camera that you fit and forget until you need it then you just use the app on your phone to download the videos immediately.
r/drivingUK • Dash Cam recommendations ->Blackboxmycar.com and Vortex Radar on YouTube do amazing reviews and comparisons. I have a Blackvue 2 channel in my wagon and just put a Viofo A329s 3 channel in my new daily. Dual mode hybrid parking recording and lots of nice features on the viofo. Though I prefer the form factor of the blackvue.
r/askcarguys • Best dash cams in 2025? Need recommendations for my first one ->If you can get any BlackVue 2 Channel on sale , they're easily the best dash cam I've ever used
r/australia • Best dashcam available in AU that isn't super expensive ->My blackvue phone app works well
r/australia • Best dashcam available in AU that isn't super expensive ->I have a blackvue 2 channel system. Had it.... 5 or 6 years now. Been solid - never comes out of my truck other than to pull videos a couple times a year. Lens still in good condition etc. This was from yesterday. Just make sure you get a good quality SD Card - dash cams are hard on them. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wPieCU8680o](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wPieCU8680o)
r/NoRulesCalgary • Dash cam recommendations ->There's an Audi dashcam? Hmm.. I have a blackvue 2 channel camera which is very nice and sleek. It hides well on the front and rear window. My only gripes are: 1) The app. It's a complete pain in the ass to view any footage and it won't update the firmware because the dashcam connects to my phone via wifi and if it's connected via wifi, there's not any actual Internet access from the cellular signal so it can never update 🤣 what a joke. There are other ways to update the firmware, but I can't be bothered lol And 2) it records in minute increments, which makes viewing footage a pain. There are an enormous number of files associated with a day of driving. Other than those 2 points, it's a great dashcam and overall, I do recommend it.
r/Audi • Dashcams - Audi's or Aftermarket? ->I have a BlackVue 2 channel system in my 2017 [*trim level redacted so Shamy Shamerson doesn’t call me out, too*].
r/hondaridgeline • Updated list of the best dash cams ->I picked up a dual channel blackvue. It records front and back. I used a fuse tap to power it both during driving and while parked. I've had it for ~9 months. Love it.
r/VWiD4Owners • Dash Cam Installation ->I had one failure of my 12v about 3 months after install. I'm unsure if it was related to the dashcam, but I haven't had an issue since...and nothing noticeable on battery life. The picture is phenomenal... And I installed it myself too, which is saying something. I'm not the best at DIY projects.... But couldnt stomach a $600-$800 install cost I was finding.
r/VWiD4Owners • Dash Cam Installation ->Something like a Viofo or Blackvue 2ch (with a hardwire kit) is what you're seeking. I personally run Viofo's A129 Duo (there's a much newer variant of this, the A229).
r/GolfGTI • Opinions on Dash Cams? ->Yeah the app sucks. It's so easy to pull footage with the SD and an [OTG USBC reader](https://imgur.com/a/B3vuSbR) though. Gotta go with Blackvue or Thinkware for a quality app level experience. But that comes at an extra cost.
r/GolfGTI • Opinions on Dash Cams? ->The only thing I would be tempted to get is the Window tint, only if you have ambient lighting in the car. Only because, if something goes wrong then the dealer is liable for the installation and subsequent repair, and they can’t claim any further issues with warranty. For the price they’re quoting you, that should be ceramic tint too. Everything else is over priced. I had a 2channel BlackVue installed for under $1k (Including cost of cameras). The paint protection can be done later too.
r/CarsAustralia • Help with RAV 4 add ons ->For fleet we often do blackvue DR-series with a tamperproof case. That way, it can not be unplugged. Some options for LTE models for remote viewing capabilities. Pricing will vary depending on where you are.
r/Dashcam • Best DashCam for small business? ->Plus one for the Black Vue. I've had mine for 3 years in Texas heat.
r/Dashcam • What model dash cam do you have and how long has it been going for? ->I got mine from Black Vue after reading up on them. I paid about $249. Promptly got rear ended a month later and it paid for itself. I knew nothing about dash cams but their site was informative
