"We use Blackvue, two channel for front and rear, and married to a B124X battery to allow the dashcam to run whilst parked for up to 24 hours independently of the car battery."

"The app. It's a complete pain in the ass to view any footage ... it won't update the firmware because the dashcam connects to my phone via wifi and if it's connected via wifi, there's not any actual Internet access from the cellular signal so it can never update 🤣 what a joke."
Depends on your budget and preference of tech. Mines unnecessarily expensive to buy upfront and has a monthly charge, there's cheaper but I like it Blackvue DR770X LTE. It's hardwired, with an auto off to not kill battery, it has impact, manual, motion sensor and auto recording. Its always on ans trims footage into 1 minute clips. Footage is then streamed to an app on your phone you can download share etc. For this it has a sim card that costs me 9.99 a month. But much easier for me than battery or storage card options. Pretty good quality too.
r/drivingUK • Dash cam recommendations ->Depends on budget and preference of tech. I have Blackvue DR770X LTE Front and rear. Its hardwired, has auto cut out for low battery ans is always record except auto cut out. It condsenses clips into 1/2 minites when driving and has motion and impact. It uses a SIM card you have to pay monthly for to send clips direct to an app you have and you can view and save direct to phone You can also do live view if you want to wake it up. Its pricey but good
r/drivingUK • Dashcam recommendations ->Blackvue DR770X LTE Expensive and has a pay monthly sim but its great. Good picture quality day and night, front and rear, hardwired, impact and motion recording. It automatically records during journeys and condenses it into 1 or 2 min chunks. They get uploaded to an app you can watch and download. Just wish the app didnt have such a short time frame to do it from, I.e videos from the morning may get overwritten by evening
r/CarTalkUK • How did you decide which dashcam to get? ->What's your budget? I have a BlackVue DR770X LTE Front and rear It's pricey, hardwired and saves/loads clips via an app so you need a cheap sim card for the camera to upload it from via data/WiFi But its bloody good
r/drivingUK • Dashcams recommendation ->The only thing I would be tempted to get is the Window tint, only if you have ambient lighting in the car. Only because, if something goes wrong then the dealer is liable for the installation and subsequent repair, and they can’t claim any further issues with warranty. For the price they’re quoting you, that should be ceramic tint too. Everything else is over priced. I had a 2channel BlackVue installed for under $1k (Including cost of cameras). The paint protection can be done later too.
r/CarsAustralia • Help with RAV 4 add ons ->I can speak highly for the model we got in our recent new car purchase. BlackVue DR770X-2Ch. Didn’t got for the 970x, and am quite happy with the 770X. Bought it on one of the sales at Autobarn for $599, and an additional $300 install for an Auto Electrician to install it. Considering what Car dealers can charge, this was a bargain for me. Good luck with whatever you choose.
r/CarsAustralia • Dash Cam Advice Please ->You're not going to get much better quality than BlackVue 700 models.
r/Dashcam • Can I use 2 separate dash cameras in my car? One system with LTE and the other without? ->Blackvue lte dashcam or a cloud connected dashcam that can connect to a hotspot will give you remote access and notifications
r/dashcams • Dash Cam reccomendation that I can access from my phone while car is off? ->I have blackvue LTE 2 channel with its own battery pack. Amazing camera.
r/MazdaCX90 • Best dashcam for Mazda Cx70/90 ->I running blackvue lte 2ch running of a battery pack also blackvue. No issues with car battery dying. Easy set up..
r/mazda • Dash Cam for 2025 CX 70 ->Blackvue Box models are the best option, as the part with the SD card is less likely to be stolen, but any of their LTE cams will do that.
r/Dashcam • Interested in dash cam primarily for theft protection ->I've had a lot of success with the Blackvue Range. The DR770X is a great model. If a little on the pricey side. The DR970X has 4k resolution. Feel free to contact me if you need any help 😊
r/dashcams • Best dash cam? ->Blackvue 770x or 970x both 2-channel. Use battery backup as well. Install was straightforward.
r/Subaru_Outback • Recommendation on Dash cams 2025 outback ->I had a BlackVue DR770X two channels professionally installed on my 2023 it was not cheap basically the installation cost was equal to the cost of the hardware. Some people said I should have gone for three channels which would record inside the car as well to prove your not driving recklessly or distracted and I know Uber and Lyft drivers usually opt for 3 channels. There are YouTube videos on installing and running the wires if you are DIY. Otherwise you can call car stereo stores or Best Buy and get an idea of what products they have and the cost.
r/NissanRogue • Dash Cam ->Went with an a329 viofo, works perfectly and the number plates are a lot clearer, my prior 770 blackvue that kept blurring plates, got autobarn to install and it was seamless, brilliant dash cam
