BlackVue DR770X BOX 3 Channel. Expensive but has cloud features for push notifications, live view and recordings access of the dash cam through the cloud. Good parking mode capabilities with time lapse and impact or motion and impact detection. Three channels: front, rear, interior. Dash cam can be installed in a locked glove box so that it and the memory card don''t easily get tampered with. Down sides are you might need a dash cam battery pack for longer parking mode recording. Also need to buy a data plan for it if you plan on using cloud features when parked. It is only Full HD for all cameras but might be good enough for your use.

I had a chance to test the BlackVue DR770X box which I believe is similar in WIFI functionality to the DR970. I like BlackVue's implementation of WIFI a lot. It has the 2 modes. One to creat a Wifi hotspot for your phone app to connect to (most dash cams do this) but BlackVues is pretty seamless to connect to and it can stay ON all the time as long as the dash cam has power (hardwire installation). Other dash cams tend to auto power off the WIFI after a few minutes with nothing connected to it. The second feature of its Wifi is the capability to connect to a home or office access point. This effectively connects it to the internet/cloud. You will then be able to connect to the dash cam from anywhere your phone and the dash cam has data. You will need a data plan and SIM card and LTE module (if not built into the dash cam). You will also need a BlackvVue cloud account that gives you access to the BlackVue features like remote live view, remote recordings view, cloud storage, auto event upload, etc... For most the Free plan is good enough. Heavy feature users will need a paid plan. Find out more on the WIFI features as I did test it out in our extensive video review of the BlackVue DR770X Box on our YT channel. We also have a hardwire install video for it. If you need the links, let me know.

Second this for BlackVue. I've tested the DR770X Box. It can auto upload a lower resolution video in case of a triggered event in driving or parking modes. It also allows you to connect to the dash cam through the cloud from anywhere where both the dash cam and your phone have data. You can view live feed, recordings, change settings and more. You will need a LTE module and data plan/SIM installed with the dash cam though. Plus you will need an account with their BlackVue cloud. The free plan is usually good enough but if you use more heavily then you might need a subscription plan with them too. The dash cam can also auto connect to your home or office WiFi access points if close enough and if configured. Some people have a script that auto downloads the latest videos to their home computer. Check out our extensive review video for it on our channel. We also have a video showing how I hardwire it. If you need the links just ask.

The BlackVue DR770X Box is a good dash cam with the features you are looking for as mentioned by Responsible_CDN_Duck. You will have to get a data plan and the LTE module for the dash cam OR get her to set her phone to have the WiFi hotspot feature always on (or manually turn it on when she gets into the car)so that when she gets into the car the dash cam can connect to it to access the Internet. You may also need to get the BlackVue cloud plan so that you can access the videos and features of the dash cam from the cloud/internet. There is a free plan that has limits, which may be enough for your usage. If you want to see what the cloud features are like and other features of the dash cam checkout our extensive review of it on our channel. We also have a hardwire install video for it. Let me know if you want the links.

Blackvue DR770x Box is the best option There was a time where they decided to make significant changes to the app, and after people lost their minds they addressed the concern ls within a few weeks and their app is back to being one of the better ones.

Blackvue DR770x Box provides all the camera views you are looking for, and can provide remote viewing using her phone as a hot spot (which helps with consent and trust) or using its own LTE connection.

Blackvue. I have a 3 channel 770. Viofo good too but doesn't have cloud connection which was a non-negotiable. Very happy with it, just hope they come out with a full 4k all 3 channels soon.

I use the blackvue 770 box front, rear and inside plus panic button. Small separate cameras hooked up to the central unit which is a locked box. I keep mine in my dash behind glove box. You can get an LTE module for cloud access and GPS tracking. Plus if someone tries to rip a camera out and manages to disconnect it from from the box then a loud noise sounds. It's a bit expensive but we'll worth it

I'm pretty settled on the Blackvue "box" model given the cams are very small since the recording hardware is external. But I hesitate because the thinkware radar function is really compelling for park mode battery saving, plus for some reason these setups don't include 3-channel to have an interior cam capturing side windows as well.

r/Dashcam β€’ [Fitcamx 4K] Just me or is this video quality trash for a $200 dashcam? You can't even make out the license plate of the car that turned in front of me, not that I care in this case. At least the cam installed easily and looks sleek. ->

I've had a lot of success with the Blackvue Range. The DR770X is a great model. If a little on the pricey side. The DR970X has 4k resolution. Feel free to contact me if you need any help 😊

Blackvue 770x or 970x both 2-channel. Use battery backup as well. Install was straightforward.

I had a BlackVue DR770X two channels professionally installed on my 2023 it was not cheap basically the installation cost was equal to the cost of the hardware. Some people said I should have gone for three channels which would record inside the car as well to prove your not driving recklessly or distracted and I know Uber and Lyft drivers usually opt for 3 channels. There are YouTube videos on installing and running the wires if you are DIY. Otherwise you can call car stereo stores or Best Buy and get an idea of what products they have and the cost.

I used a viofo a119 for a long time. It was a good camera, but I don’t think I ever got parking mode to work properly. It was nice because it had a screen and a really low profile. I’m now using a BlackVue DR770X. It’s more pricey, but I think the quality in every way is a little bit better. The parking mode works really well and my mini can run the camera for several days maximum before the low voltage cuts off. Although I don’t like doing that anymore because it does seem hard on the battery.

I like the BlackVue dr900x (or 770x for 1080p instead of 4k). Most purchase configurations include a rear camera as well. Price is worth it

Went with an a329 viofo, works perfectly and the number plates are a lot clearer, my prior 770 blackvue that kept blurring plates, got autobarn to install and it was seamless, brilliant dash cam

Blackvue 770X or 970X both are great. No large LCD and pretty unobstrusive. I have 1 in each of my cars.

For fleet we often do blackvue DR-series with a tamperproof case. That way, it can not be unplugged. Some options for LTE models for remote viewing capabilities. Pricing will vary depending on where you are.
