I have the advanced eye pro 3.0 in my m440i gc, i can configure the sensitivity of the g sensors, also it has infra red and can film in park mode if something moves around the car, works fine for me
I'm using BMW's Car Eye Pro 3.0 It's a long ass name and the front camera unit also hilariously huge but the rear camera is a nice size. Picture quality is pretty clear and has a bunch of fancy features you'd expect from a high end dashcam so I'm not too bothered
I'm using BMW's CarEye 3.0 So far it's been great, only issue is that the front camera unit is large
The Drive Recorder sucks. Ordered it back then. Wrong decision.
The bmw eye is pretty good. But expensive unless came with. I will still get iRoad as it served me very well on last car.
It does. Video quality is a joke with even the latest drive recorder. I found it to be mediocre for the price of these cars
The latest version of drive recorder is terrible on several levels. First, it’s inconveniently limited to very short recording times unless you plug USB media in like a thumb drive. Then you can record until you fill up your media. The other major issue is that the recorded videos are very low resolution The several-year-old brand X 4K dash cam I got on Amazon looks way better. This has been the case whether I download them from the car via the app or if I record them direct to USB. To boot, it doesn’t support features like sentry mode or really much of anything else. They had a chance to make a really good dash cam system for as expensive a car as this is., but they flubbed it So if you want a high-quality dash cam, you’re going to have to get a separate one. But don’t get the BMW branded one, because car eye or whatever they call it is nothing more than a rebranded brand X cam. It is absolutely not worth the money and nowhere near a high-end dash cam.

There’s Drive Recorder for a subscription fee through the Connected Drive. Good enough for me.
