I have a Botslab 4k. Forget exact model but it’s super easy to use and pull video. Clear picture. Edit: Used as trail cam but a friend bought it for me because of that guy in jersey or NY hitting the brakes in front of people LOoooooL
I bought a [BOTSLAB](https://amazon.co.uk/BOTSLAB-Rotatable-Parking-Hardwire-Kit/dp/B0DSZRL2W9/ref=sr_1_6?crid=K2R28OE59RZ5&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.hGhikpcj7h0TnWajXi78WUGitkg_08OetxPhSQ6E3rD_DwTQypN4rd3im6j2oafSgtKBvvwB5-VNVwlfWTayQyMkQLrGqaJS7RbLbOWnCGgDu0W_7KoHICXfqvS3qEByszxj7aUBi-SwtaFqOutkAUnEqIzk-I_j90GLa-4eJxWI5UgYlAZ7y2K6HP8zewEE2rEYzHqrBQbVZE8nzkfYBaKMHwoJzbAo1PSxD1kzzzKEJabK_gYIX8SbEe8nD7Ni8o4v0HxcGYmaoMUoqPgffxhDqbwP8ggTRuRyns8ymno.bXJjGFp4zp1bnXMyWZ-T7jM5xJ4Osyum8DoOfQ96k_A&dib_tag=se&keywords=BOTSLAB+4K+Dash+Cam+Front+and+Rear&qid=1769599737&s=electronics&sprefix=botslab+4k+dash+cam+front+and+rear%2Celectronics%2C151&sr=1-6&ufe=app_do%3Aamzn1.fos.d7e5a2de-8759-4da3-993c-d11b6e3d217f) G980H 4k dashcam kit (includes front 4K cam and 1080p rear cam) from Amazon for £130. Currently reduced from £190 from what I can see. Fitted it in an hour or so and runs off a cigarette port adaptor. There's a hard-wire kit for it too that adds more functionality but that was out of my skill range without paying a spark or mechanic or something. The quality is brilliant and you just download/change settings from a mobile app. If you are changing cars, you can remove the adhesive pads with nail polish remover and a decent craft knife, and the kit comes with additional pads for a second application to a new car. Failing that, you can buy new adhesive pads for about 6 quid online easily. I bought this one to go into a new car, and my old [set-up](https://www.amazon.co.uk/GKU-D600-Dashcam-G-Sensor-Recording-Black/dp/B0CT8PGZHW/ref=sr_1_4?crid=S7UPAQ2XCZQB&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.zZ5r-afuRfrmxJOuDZ-zcbjKwP1Xzr5E9oWghpvUvwqs7LsH-5JNHt1oQTjsjI12vWDtRSl3b5WIqQBjBzoquW8PF32R9mzrF067wt41GeTuKoBRSwZInurpawqZ0WcYORU7ws2UhevYQMizjQyHSEJ5LtC0qYHsO1SCgloK7GS1eqiHbDxYIv2RpGMKDfh7eNPxTYbWyVsQWRIGuyyux113rPaKSC2bVpX1fRCifQU.cVlPw8BDhVVKziyZD2lTfWITiLXQAEV-PJ9y0kICDJo&dib_tag=se&keywords=gku+4k+dash+cam+front+and+rear&qid=1769613637&sprefix=gku%2Caps%2C103&sr=8-4) went into my partner's car which I had to buy additional pads for. The biggest thing is planning the cable management from the port to where you can start using the tool to put the cabling behind seals and interior lining. I bought cable management clips but they didn't stick too well to the dash, so ended up gluing them on with loctite and letting them settle for a day. If you do this, it will leave some white residue on the dash around the clips, but it can be cleaned off with white spirits.
# Check out Botslab 4K with Sony Starvis. I bought it in June, hardwired it front and back, and it's been great.
I just installed a Botslab G980H last week in my two Bolts. They were a hotly talked about 4K camera 12 months ago, but are cheaper now (mine were $120CAD with $40 coupon each) for a front/rear camera with GPS and app (WiFi) video access. 4.6 star rating on the 'zon. I really don't know what makes a good or bad dashcam these days. Everyone has differing opinion, but to me even an old potato cam from 10 years ago is still better than nothing.
