I've been using ddpai Z40 for 3 years. Works fine despite being under hot sun all these years cos of the supercapacitor battery. Footage isn't clear at night and I don't use parking mode. But just want to praise the battery technology used by ddpai

Yeah. Nakabilad lang. DDPAI Z40 and Z50. Nakasupercapacitor kasi compared dun sa iba na batteries. 3 years na sakin. Sulit buy heehee

I’ve been really happy with my DDPAI Z40 + interior cam setup, it’s been super reliable and the video quality is way clearer than anything else I’ve used in this price range. The night footage is especially good, and plates stay readable even when cars are moving. The app is smooth, install was easy, and it’s been a great fit for gig driving since it covers both the road and the cabin. For under $100, it’s honestly one of the best value setups I’ve tried.

When I bought my first dashcam, I made a few rookie mistakes, so here’s what I learned: Avoid models with regular batteries if you park in the sun. My first one literally puffed up after a few weeks of summer heat. I switched to one that uses a capacitor (mine’s a DDPAI Z40), and it’s been fine since. Dual-channel doesn’t always mean both cameras are useful some rear cams are practically potato quality. Check sample clips on YouTube before buying; I found DDPAI and 70mai videos most reliable for real-world clarity. Don’t underestimate the importance of an easy app. Being able to quickly grab a clip on your phone without taking the SD card out is underrated. And yeah, cable management matters hide the wires properly or it’ll bug you every day. I’m still new to this stuff, but after a few months I’d say: focus on reliability and heat resistance over fancy features. The peace of mind alone is worth it.

While I completely agree with your friend. Maybe consider the warranty as well? Someone posted last week na yung ddpai z40 niya lumubo after 1 year and 3 months (out of warranty). I myself have ddpai z50 and z40 with rear cams. Malinaw ang nababasa yung plate ng car sa harap kahit walang streetlights

Kung de-battery, mas malaki chance na masira agad pag laging naiinitan. Mas mainam yung capacitor-based na dadhcam. DDpai user ako since oct 2018, hanggang ngayon buhay pa yung mini2p ko. Then yung Z40 ko 3 years na okay pa rin. Open din yung parking space ko sa pay parking.
