I’ll share a quick story that made me a ddpai convert. I had a "stealth" camera (won't name brands, but similar to Fitcam) and got into a dispute where a guy claimed I merged into him. Because that camera only had a front view, I couldn't prove he actually sped up from my blind spot to block me. Swapped it for the ddpai Z90 Master specifically for that 3-channel setup. Be careful buying redtiger dashcam since it's not officially sold here. Last time I bought one from the reseller in shopee, my money got burned since the rear camera was faulty. They asked me to pay extra then send them the faulty unit so they can send me a replacement unit. I said no thanks. I just used the front camera for a while then changed to ddpai 3 way dashcam. Not to mention the redtiger app is trash.

The ideal setup here is something you configure once, then forget exists until you actually need footage. DDPAI’s ecosystem is one of the few that’s close to that idea in practice.

If plate reading is your main concern, don’t go too budget. I ended up with a DDPAI front/rear setup and it’s been solid for both day and night driving.
