Great video & easy install, but app and SD card issues.

They price matched an AliExpress “summer sale” so it came in at $133.86 to my door (not including the polarizing filter I got on Amazon). Install took less than 5 mins once I was actively working on it (I watched a YouTube video first). Image quality seems good (although I’m skeptical it’s actually 4K) and it looks OEM. There was a massive glare without the polarizing filter — to the point that I would say the filter is essential and should have just come with the device or been built into it. The filter was expensive for what it is - around $25. The only issue I’ve run into is that my Covercraft sunscreen now required an extra push to fit over where the filter sticks on… the tolerances on it are surprisingly tight… but it’s not a big deal (I’ve just been letting it hang slightly loose below it). Overall, I’m happy with it.
I like my FitCamX - I chose the option for only the facing dash cam, but they also have one that contains both front and rear facing. I especially like that it’s totally invisible, since it’s built into the black box under the rearview mirror (they send you a replacement with the cam built into it) and you don’t have to worry about splicing wires, since it has an adapter.
Thanks, I’ll add that to my maintenance checklist. I actually installed it maybe a month and a half ago, but I hadn’t thought to verify that it’s been working all that time until your post. Just checked it now and it seems to be fine… but it makes sense to doublecheck every time I change the oil or something.
I have the fitcamx - I wanted something that maintained the OEM look, since I don’t like random things attached to the front glass or cords hanging around: https://www.reddit.com/r/ToyotaTacoma/s/2J5eGYHvDn They make a version with front and back as well. Regarding the back, you would need to leave a little extra cord hanging to make sure that it doesn’t pull the camera off when you use the sliding rear window. Otherwise, just stick it up in the headliner.
I have the fitcamx. Works great and looks stock.
it's available i have it
FitCamX seems pretty decent so far. (I bought one for my wife's Palisade for Christmas.) It's plug-n-play, directly into the rearview mirror auto-dimming power cable, and it looks factory. https://fitcamx.com/products/fitcamx-dash-cam-for-2015-2023-dodge-challenger?_pos=1&_sid=8c239972e&_ss=r
Im using it the front only. It's decent. But at the price you can probably get something better image quality. I just went with this so it looks oem.
I use fixcamX oem dashcam. I like the oem look
No, but if your goal is powering a dash cam, fitcamx has a custom fit dash cam that powers off the rain sensor under that cover so you don’t have to run wiring to power it. I have a 22 and that’s on my purchase list among other things.
