In the front, you barely even notice it because of how it installs. You have to be looking for it to find it. Looks like OEM. The rear is very small also.
That is only if you want to use the Y cable. You can still direct wire it into your fuse box (which will also give parking mode)
The Y cable plugging into the rear view mirror power, only works while car is on.
The only thing I wish the fitcamx had was voice prompts like my old garmin had, Yes there are buttons for manually taking pictures, but just talking was easier.
Instillation was unintrusive, but a bit tedious to route the cable to the rear camera.
I installed this dash cam from FITCAMX a couple days ago, installation was very straight forward, took me 10-15 min, no wire cutting, just plug and play.
It replaces the original plastic cover and looks factory-installed.
Didn’t find a good solution for rear cam so far.
The installation was very straightforward. If you have both hands and use the tool included, it shouldn’t take more than 15 minutes. If it does, something is probably off.
The cover looks great and blends in really well, you can barely tell the difference. It also doesn’t damage the original part, so you can safely store it and reinstall it later if needed.
The only downside for me is the rear camera, it looks a bit cheap, so I didn’t install it.
I’ll likely try to find or 3D print something that feels more “built in”.
