"Avoid the fitcamx. It works about 80% of the time, but the 20% it just decided not to record were during the two times I needed it. ... Both regularly show the red light on indicating recording, but when you go back to check recordings, there will be gaps not just in dates I know the car was driven, but in increments of time. ... Example, a drive to work might have a recording of me pulling out of the drive way, and pulling into my parking space, but 1/4 of the trip is just missing. ... I contacted their customer service and was told it could be my SD cards, so I swapped them. "it didn’t really fit the 991.2 ... none of them actually lined up. they all sort of sat “inside” the remaining oem housing half ... the big problem is because the fitcam housing was smaller there was no sane way to run the wiring. ... see how the fitcam opening is small? it is fully blocked by the mirror mount so you cant get wires through."

FITCAMX dashcam (looks like it belongs to the car) Also bought a wireless AirPlay dongle, worked well BUT: my Waze navigation did not display in the instrument cluster, so had to ditch it :(

r/f150 • Best dash cams ->I haven’t had that problem but to be honest. I probably haven’t checked it maybe 3 or 4 times since I had it. When I did check it the videos were there. Maybe you got a bad one or maybe I just happened to get lucky. I have been happy with it so far.
r/f150 • Best dash cams ->FitCamX. Install is pretty easy and it integrates very well. I have one on my 2022 and it works well. It’s interface to connect a phone to it to download videos is a bit clunky (it creates its own WiFi hotspot that you connect to), but you can always just pull the SD card to download videos if needed.
r/Polestar • Dash Cam ->I have the front only and the standard setup was easy. I believe you can wire it in to your fuse box in order to allow it to record even while the car is off in the event of a crash but that seemed more than I needed
r/bronco • Fitxcam dash cam ->I've had mine installed for a year and no battery draining issues. I even have the rear cam option and it doesn't cause battery draining issues
r/Supra • GR Supra Dash Cam ->It was a bit challenging to install and get all the cables back in the right place. Downloading videos isn’t straightforward. But once installed you don’t notice it, and the video quality is good enough. I would buy it again.

r/ram_trucks • Any good dash cams that connect into this cigarette lighter? ->I've been using it in my 2023 Hyundai Kona for a few months now, good video quality and loving the integrated look! Download speeds in the app is low, but i just remove the SD card and plug it into my computer for export. Highly recommend.
