Lot of professional drivers use Garmin. We have both Garmin (6 yo for the 56) and Viofo and will not look for something else
r/Dashcam • Does anyone else get option paralysis with all the dashcams in the market? ->Whatever dash cam you choose, check the reviews on the App Store for iOS and Android. A lot of them SUCK. That being said, I’ve been using Garmin Tandem (double cams) and Garmin 56w for 3 years without any issues.
r/Dashcam • What kind of dashcam should I get? ->I live in the city, and I am running a old Garmin Dash Cam 56 - 1440p only - I am keeping it from my prior vehicle because I love the redlight and speed camera warnings on it, once this fails, I will probably go with Garmin 4k camera in the future \~300$. But seriously no company makes cameras like Garmin does.
r/LexusGX • Completed Install of Dashcam for Lexus GX 460 2022 ->I know 2 guys with them that have been really happy. They are still selling units. There are a lot of action cameras but I went down the rabbit hole and two issues hit most, battery life (I wanted at min 4 hours) and dashcam mode that was useful. I ended up getting the Garmin front (recently) and rear (over 2 years ago) and have been really happy. For me integration to make it easy and on every ride is key. I move them between bikes in 30 seconds too this way.
