I recently got GKU D1000 which is a 3-channel camera (4K front and 1080P other 2) and hardwired it myself. So far I am very happy with it but you won't get the cloud service with it. It cost me 72 euro with the hardwire kit+ the good quality SD card which I ordered from Amazon. It has a parking mode which can record 24/7 or other option is to set it up to start recording if the G force sensor is triggered which I am using at the moment, so if anyone hits my car it will wake up and start recording.
My 3channel GKU-D1000 was pretty easy for a dashcam novice. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WlQx1ByhBy0](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WlQx1ByhBy0) So its front/interior on the unit that sticks to the inside of your front windshield. And a unit that sticks to the inside of your rear window/hatch. Its all USBc. Stick the rear camera. Run the LONG usb through the car edge trim to the front. Up the windshield pillar. Across the windshield headliner. Down at the mirror and into the camera where it says "R" (for rear). The hardware kit plugs into the fuse block of the car under the dash. And follow the same wire path from under the dash, up the windshield pillar, across the top, into the camera. Hit up YouTube for "Dashcam Installation" and you'll find plenty of videos. Watch 10. You'll probably pick up one nifty trick from each and then you'll be armed with 10 cool tricks for your installation.
OP mentioned: \> viewed remotely in real time. Does even the fleet version do that in real time? I know my GKU-D1000 which has wifi access (and therefore I could hotspot it), will disconnect recording as soon as you remote into the camera.
I recently bought one. Pretty easy to install. Just plug it in and stick it to the front and back windscreens. Tucking in the wires takes longest. All in all good quality product. Had an issue with WiFi disconnecting and reconnecting. Got in touch with their WhatsApp chat and got a quick reply.
It records pretty well at night too. Still haven’t figured out saving/ downloading files. It records in 5 minute clips and then records over them
GKU 4K dash cam on Amazon , I bought it at £120 , but now it’s only £60 , absolute bargain the picture is amazing even in dark
