I’ve used the innovv K3. It’s great — you never have to think about it unless you need the footage. I would check footage every month or so to make sure it was still aimed right, etc. It’s not YouTube-quality footage, but it’s good enough for a dashcam. My only complaint is that it’s a little tricky to mount in an inconspicuous way on my bike. YMMV

I have an Innov K3 mostly still fitted to the KTM, but after a few year it stopped working. They seem to be the least-bad option for a bike dashcam, but mine at least still had a bit of a feel of someone's arduino project. And the K3s at least are somewhat known for failing through water ingress into the camera. Do bear in mind, though, that as a new rider you're very likely to be over-estimating how dangerously cars have pulled out on you.

I wanted the same when I got a bike. I've had a front/rear dashcam in my car for years, and for better or worse, I dont like driving without one now. I bought a used innov k3 on ebay for ~$200. I installed on a 2021 mt-03 in an afternoon. I had no prior experience doing anything mechanical on a bike at all. Only moderately difficult part was deciding where to mount the cameras. Im reasonably happy with it, and would recommend INNOVV products.

Depends what type you want. Ive got an innov mounted camera that has 2 cameras, 1 facing forward and backwards.

Shakiness isn’t a problem. I off-road my bike and the clips climbing rocky hills or on dirt roads at 70mph are smooth as butter. I have INNOVV cams. Would recommend. And don’t fuck around with batteries what a pain in the ass!

Same been using INNOVV on my K1600B for a couple of years, thankfully never needed the footage from it

I use a GoPro. It’s not set and forget since I have to charge it, but I have it on my chin and I really like the footage I get from it. No rear facing though. I don’t plan to changing it. I had an Innov system on a previous bike and it was fine. Didn’t have to think about it, did front and back, and the video quality was passable.
