Innov K7 was a sweet spot for me - it has 2k to the front & rear (so usually you can read the plates of the cars), there is a electrical circuit connector available so it can turn on/off automatically with your key, colors are quite good, there is a mic that you can hide under your seat and the cameras are still quite smallish (compared to 4k dashcams). Working without issues on my motorcycle for the 2nd season now.
INNOVV K7 - set it and forget it (but be at peace if something happens) I didn't even used the handlebar control, just let it do its thing... once in couple of months I download everything and format and go again :-)
The reason why car dashcams are further ahead is because there’s a bigger market for car dashcams I’d get the innov k7 — just installed one and it works great. Super easy to install and use.
I got the innovv 7 or something in sale. It was a pain in the ass to install in my RS660, mainly because they offer miles off cables and the bike is anyway chalk full of stuff. Anyway, I couldn't be happier with it. Great quality in recording, sound is good too. It's fire-and-forget. Keeps the recording in case if a crash, triggers recording of the bike gets knocked over while parked. Well worth the money and the afternoon for installing it.
I use an INNOV K7 and works great. If you are doing content would still recommend a helmet cam or something cause the quality isn’t quite on that level. I just use mine for wreck potential and if I accidentally see something cool on my ride Ive always got a video for later
Grabbed the K7 to go on an Africa Twin, it works great on and off road. Happily surprised with the vibration management, little bit of foam tape and you barely notice it. Will say that after a few years I wish I had a grill or screen protector on the front, the lens has picked up some chips and is becoming less clear. Still very usable, but it's really noticeable comparing to the rear cam.
