I tested this cam. Its not good at night. Very blurry and definitely cannot see license plates front or back. I opted for another one. Dont see a purpose of a dash cam that cannot read license plates.
I was searching, but I don’t see any feedback or review about this dashcam, besides the amazon review. So if someone is on the fence, here’s my review. I would say it’s an easy install if you’ve done dashcam installation previously. No exposed wires unlike the common dashcams, making it look like OEM. Power is connected to the mirror power, so I don’t have to connect to a 12V power or to the fuse box and everything hidden inside the box. I got the one with camera for back, that’s the part that took me longer to hide the wires. There enough wire from front to back, probably 1 meter extra after I put the back cam. Front is 4k, back is 1080p. The front camera I would say took me about 15 mins. 1.5 hours for the back, took my time to make it like a professional install. Price: 249 at Amazon. But got it for 200 during a sale. I think sale price goes back every couple of weeks. Do I like it? Yes, because it looks discreet and you don’t have to stick it with a permanent tape like what other dashcams use. Discreet in a way the camera is not blocking your view and no visible wires. With usual 2 channel cameras, you have 2 wires, 1 for the power and 1 for the back camera. Do I recommend it? Yes and No. Yes if you have the money and you don’t want to mess with the fuse box or plug it to a 12v power source. Yes if you want the discreet look and no visible wires hanging. No if budget is tight. There are a lot of cheaper dash cams out there if budget is limited. Let me know if you guys have any questions, I’ll try to help as much as I can.

For day time it’s clear. I need to get back on you about the night shots.
I do like it. What I don’t like is the price. It’s regular price is 249 at Amazon. I got it on sale for 200 at the time. You can get a 2 channel camera for less than 100 for a non custom fit. I do recommend it, if price is not an issue for you. And if you like the discreet look. Otherwise, you can save money with other brands. But you’ll need the 12v source or tap into your fuse box, which you dont do with this mangoal brand.
Thanks! I used the left side, just below the headliner. I was actually thinking about it. Maybe when I have more time. You’ll need to fish the wire inside the rubber molding where other wires are and going thru the door then to the 3rd brake light.
I think the reason for it to be the winner is the discreet look and no wires hanging out from the camera going to your headliner. And not blocking your view. No need to plug to a 12v source or play around with fuse box. Price is the other reason for you to not get at 249, I got mine on sale for 200. There’s a lot of dash cam below 100. This one came with a 128GB card.
Got mine for 200 from Amazon (249 regular price). About 2 hrs to install both front and back cameras. If you just want the front camera, you’ll be done in about 15 mins or even faster if you know what you’re doing.
On a certain angle, yeah I agree it’s thicc. Wifey’s dash cam has a “thin” style camera, but the final outcome of the camera + suction cup + wires, blocks your view. I even installed that one on the passenger side so it’s out of the way from the driver’s view. https://preview.redd.it/y54qxd9pznug1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ac0c271eba54c71c695b4f5d2179d41f638d67f0
So fitcamx doesn’t use the y connector thing splitter? That’s interesting. I guess we’ll see overtime if something happens. I think it’s connceted to the rear view mirror that powers the garage door openers.
I never had a high end dash cam to compare the quality of Mangoal with. I think it’s comparable to other units in the $100 range. I would suggest you get the starvis version if you want high end quality captures. We’re definitely paying more for the oem style for this kind of dash cam.
Mangoal integrated 4k dash cam. Amazon. I like it.
I got the mangoal custom fit from Amazon. Seamless install. Looks factory. Very happy with it.
I have the mangoal 4k dashcam for my s550 and its worked well. Hides behind the rear view so cant even tell one is installed. I went this way because I have a convertible and I leave the top down about 99% of the time. Picked it up from Amazon and it was an easy install.
Having mangoal. Bit frustrated while installing.
