Just got the Nextbase 320XR+ front and back installed a couple of days ago. They have a pretty solid deal right now that involves front and back cam and a 32GB SD card. Fitment included it set me back about 200 quid which isn't bad. (Camera is about half price rn) Just booked the apt, showed up, got served in about a minute and then fucked about for an hour and a half. Came back and everything was fresh, helps that you only pay after everything is in too. This was Halfords Coolock. Cam works perfect so I'd recommend.

My mother asked for a really good front and rear one for her birthday (lol, practical much?!) so after MUCH homework, she got this one: [https://www.halfords.ie/technology/dash-cams/nextbase-320xr%2B-front-and-rear-dash-cam-bundle-with-32gb-sd-card-508646.html](https://www.halfords.ie/technology/dash-cams/nextbase-320xr%2B-front-and-rear-dash-cam-bundle-with-32gb-sd-card-508646.html) Halfords installed it for an extra 50 quid I'm pretty sure. Very, very good!

[Halfords Dash Cams](https://www.halfords.com/technology/dash-cams/?srule=price_increase_rule&start=24&sz=24) 39 results (so looking around result No.19). Sort by Price low to high. Result: [Nextbase 320XR+ Front and Rear Dash Cam Bundle with 32GB SD Card](https://www.halfords.com/technology/dash-cams/nextbase-320xrplus-front-and-rear-dash-cam-bundle-with-32gb-sd-card-508646.html?stockInventory=undefined&plpPlacement=21) Which is a model or two up from the 322GW I got for my dad for Christmas a couple of years ago (that he's perfectly happy with). So no, it's not "terrible advice" at all really - is it? Don't let that get in the way of your "comedic" reference to a show that ended 30 years ago though. "🤣"

Depends on budget. Im a fan of the nextbase kits. 320xr is a good front and rear kit with SD card for £129 odd (1080p 30fps parking.mode no GPS tracking) . Then you have the 522gwnbudle which is front and rear cam and SD card and they go from £199-£269 roughly (2k 60fps app connection night vision parking mode and has GBS tracking).

I can recommend nextbase, if you need a budget one, Best But usually has the 320XR in stock. I have that one in my ES, it’s proven me not liable in two separate accidents (one was a parked collision). If it’s good enough to prove I wasn’t at fault even at night where cameras can have a harder time showing a clear picture, it’s good enough for me to recommend to others. I will say this, since you are in Texas, if you do decide to go with a 320XR, order the suction mount online because the sticky tape version is not going to hold up in the heat at all. Also park under shade if possible.

I have a 2018 so I don’t have eyesight, but I’ve been running the NextBase 320XR, and really couldn’t ask for more out of a budget dash cam. Easy install, parking mode, and has been reliable the past ~3 years I have had it (thankfully haven’t needed it yet). You could probably mount it right next to the eyesight on the passenger side and it wouldn’t be too noticeable. We had to do something similar on my brother’s car and it worked out well.

Front and rear is the only option. Had someone drive into the back of my car, admit fault to me and then told their insurance company I reversed into them. asked his insurance company if they wanted to see the rear dascam footage I had (I didn't tell him I had it) and they promptly paid up and told me he would be blacklisted for making false statements. Got a RoadAngel in my new car but after two months have had that changed as it just drained the battery and now got a Nextbase front and rear camera after advice from multiple people.

I have Nextbase HD front and rear cameras. Picture quality is good. They're OK, but after a year or so the internal battery fails. This means the time and date recorded start from "zero" every time I start the car. I haven't bothered to replace them. I've had this happen twice in both of my cars. The cost to replace batteries is about 1/3 the price of a new camera. DIY battery replacement is also an option, as they are soldered connections. I've hard wired them into the car fuse boxes. It's easy and cheap to do, plenty of YouTube tutorials. Definitely buy a rear camera too.

Toyota branded Nextbase unit, installed by dealer. Quality is only average but the install is very neat (no visible wires at all) and the camera easily clips in and out. There's a Toyota Dashcam app to view it or you can take out the SD card or the whole camera and connect to pc.
