Nextbase 322GW, the rear cam addon is optional, can get a good deal on a refurbished one on their site Has GPS integrated so can see location and speed in clips (you can turn speed off) and also parking detection so if you get bumped while you’re not in the car it’ll record and notify you on the app the next time you get in the car

Don't go for 122 model. They have no GPS, no smartphone connectivity and have 720p resolution so look like crap. 222 is 1080p, but still no GPS or Bluetooth. 322 is the one you would want.

Nextbase 322 it's not too expensive, you can connect it to your phone via Bluetooth to download video and it has the option of a rear facing camera if you want. The video also has the likes of your speed, time, date and location along the bottom as well

I had a nextbase 322gw in my old car and had zero issues and the quality was great. Surprising to see so many negative comments on the brand. Like an absolute idiot I forgot to remove it from my car when I sold it 🫠

+1 on the nextbase being a good option. I have a 322GW and it has a strong magnetic connection to the base, and the base is permanently mounted to the windscreen behind the mirror with a strong adhesive patch. There is a very long 12v cigarette-plug cable that can be router through the headlining, or you can use a hardwire kit (can't remember if that's separately available or part of the kit). To clarify, it is only 'hardwired' if it is connected directly in the fuse box, or somehow to the battery itself. If it is plugged in, e.g. via a 12v socket, then it is not considered to be hardwired. On that logic, I would not consider plugging it in via the OBD port to be hardwired either, but the difference is that most modern cars turn off the power to at least the front 12V sockets when the car is off/parked. OBD and hardwiring can provide constant power even when the car is off/parked. I would either reflect on if it is really necessary to remove the dash cam every time, or get one like the nextbase so you can leave the base and wiring but just take the dashcam with you.
