Nextbase - 622GW Dash Cam

I use the nextbase 622gw in my c2 which has front and rear cameras and a hardwire kit. I have a wolfbox g900 with front and rear cams and a screen replacing the rearview mirror again with hardwire kit in my bmw e36 Any auto electrician or car audio installer will be able to fit either. I recommend the wolfbox over the nextbase.

I have a Nextbase 622gw front/rear and while it's a great camera, the app is horrible and useless. I do not recommend Nextbase at all. I also have a Viofo A229 Pro front/rear, only had it for about 2 months but so far it's good. I'd say overall it is better than the Nextbase, simply because I can't use the Nextbase app and therefore it's additional features. Camera wise, on par with the Nextbase.

I have a Viofo A229 Pro, front and back. It's really good and straight forward. The Viofo app leaves a bit to be desired, but is manageable. I also have a Nextbase 622GW and I cannot recommend it. It is probably the better camera overall, but the app is 100% hot garbage complete with smell of diapers. I cannot use half the features because I cannot connect my phones to it as it uses massive amounts of phone power and battery, and never ever disconnects. Tech support has been useless over the 4 years I have had it. I'll never buy or recommend a Nextbase again, no matter how great the camera is.

I’ve got the next base 622gw and the quality is amazing. The stabilisation is amazing and the parking mode is really good too.

Nextbase 622gw is amazing

The next base 622gw is amazing. The video quality is amazing and they fit it for 75 quid fully discrete so you don’t see any wires. You can get the bundle with rear cam for a couple hundred quid and if you have blue light or know anyone with it you can get further discounts.

I have v90 cc 2020 and I choose the Nextbase 622GW and connected it directly to battery. Resolution is crazy 4k as a movie and you can read plates as well. Parking mode.I suggest professional install, you almost don’t see it don’t see cables 100€ for me. The camera the special rw-sd and accessories I spent 400€. A bit expensive but works very well. I don’t have any experience with other stuff

Nextbase 622, quality is pretty good

Had 2 Nextbase 622 and they were shite plus crazy expensive. Purchased 2 70 mai front and rear cams for a quarter of the price and they are miles ahead. That said Viofo are excellent, if you follow Ashley Neal on YT he has discount codes.

You could get them to instal one. Most likely have to wait until they have staff and time to do it as I doubt they will do it in the day if purchase. However saying this. They are very easy to fit and save the money they will charge you to do install. Most if not all dash cams give you a few choices to power them the easiest is to use the cigarette lighter socket one. The length of cable from the camera to the socket is very long. They are supplied that long so you can thread over and underneath your roof liner down the side panels on A pillar and across the passenger side foot well. The A puller plastic cover have clip on bolts which with care can come off very easy with a firm pull. When sticking a new cam to windscreen give area a good clean with alcohol to take durt dust and grime from the mounting area. Best place if you new dash cam has a screen is just left hand side of your rear view mirror. Not right hand side as it will be a distraction as the driver. Carefully stick the mounting plate onto the screen most dash cam mount use 3M double sided tape which will stay on for ages. Then mount camera go the plate. Plug in your dash cam with the usb C connector it will be in the box. Fun that cable as mentioned to the cigarette lighter plug and hey presto. If you want to do a hard wire instal via fuse box then maybe get experienced person to do but I find the cigarette light version does what is needed the most. If your new dash cam is gi be used as a 24 hours record then the hard wire kit is the way to go as most cigarette lighter plug do not operate when engine is off on most modern cars older cars they worked even when engines is off. I use a next base 622w most dash cams have a built in battery but they are only used to back up the data when you turn engine off. They usually only last about 30 mins. So in the event of a crash they will keep recording for this 30 mins. There are many dash cams to choose from. You just decide what you need and price you wNt6 go pay. Installing is easy peasy if not going hard wire option. Good luck.

What model do you have because I got the next base IQ after my 622 gave me trouble

I use the Nextbase 622 front and rear package. Picture is very clear and was very useful when we were rear ended by a van last year. Not massively expensive - I think it was about £400 delivered and installed from Nextbase direct. It also covered when you are parked - if you didn’t need that or were happy with less than 4K, then one of the cheaper ones would work equally well.

I've got a 4K Nextbase that's been pretty dependable. A lot of dash cams have a problem and really hot weather, but that's not brand specific.

Toyota branded Nextbase unit, installed by dealer. Quality is only average but the install is very neat (no visible wires at all) and the camera easily clips in and out. There's a Toyota Dashcam app to view it or you can take out the SD card or the whole camera and connect to pc.
