Nextbase 622GW front and rear is solid
I have a Viofo A229 Pro, front and back. It's really good and straight forward. The Viofo app leaves a bit to be desired, but is manageable. I also have a Nextbase 622GW and I cannot recommend it. It is probably the better camera overall, but the app is 100% hot garbage complete with smell of diapers. I cannot use half the features because I cannot connect my phones to it as it uses massive amounts of phone power and battery, and never ever disconnects. Tech support has been useless over the 4 years I have had it. I'll never buy or recommend a Nextbase again, no matter how great the camera is.
Same model also hardwired been fine, would recommend. Cheapo Amazon ones generally work fine especially viafo I think they are called which are cheap but use same camera tech as expensive ones
I have the nextbase gw622 I think its called. Only issue I've ever had with the camera was at one point the SD card got corrupted so I have to switch to a more high in endurance card. Mount seems pretty sturdy it has a magnetic one so it's easy to take down and clean and then put back on the window. And camera quality and audio is pretty good, I have it set at 1440p for 60 FPS video but it can do 4k. As far as installation goes I haven't heard wired to a fuse so switches on with the car and there's no visible cables, but I installed it myself so I can't speak to how Halfords would do it
Well. I went nextbase, as supposedly the best. My first one overheated and crashed constantly, but i got it warrantied and had no issues since. Even automatically saved the footage when I got hit by a van. I hard wired it in too. Mines a 622gw, so a few years old now. I also believe there's better and cheaper options too
Nextbase 622GW is 4K, and the video quality is a lot better. Also, it has a polariser filter, which will reduce the glare from the windscreen reflection.
