"If you can spend money get a Viofo and enjoy high quality videos ... So practically I have 8mp IMX678 sensor on front camera and 5mp IMX675 sensor on back camera which is all other brands put on front cameras (Rove, Xiaomi etc.) even it is Starvis 2 new sensor it ’s still a 5mp. So back camera performance on Viofo is similar to top brands new dashcams front camera ... Top of the line sensor with 8mp and Stravis IMX 678 sensor - image quality is perfect. ... because I want not just dash cam for the sake of having dash cam, but also best image quality therefore I spend more. ... For now I ’m happy with video quality"

Got the RedTiger one in 2023. No major complaints. Video quality good, day and night. Get a polarising lens if you want, I didn't notice too much difference. Minor complaints: 1. The front cam can sometimes fall off if it's too hot outside 2. WiFi file transfer is way too slow. You can watch clips on your phone, but you probably won't have the patience to download 2 or 3 Also as others pointed out, unless you can figure it out yourself, it's about another $150-200 to hard wire it.

Installation took about 1.5hrs to properly route/hide/mount everything. Buuuut now when someone clobbers me there will be no arguments, it will just be on video. 😂
r/uberdrivers • Dash cam recommendations ->Best advice you can get as a driver. Have an upvote! Red tiger f7N elite was my choice. No in car video but at least if something happens on the road there's no mystery who's at fault. Good video quality and easy to use app for browsing and downloading videos. I also thought about turning my rear cam around to face frontwards since it's currently mounted on the inside of the rear windshield up high. It would record the entire cabin just from being flipped around, but then I would lose rear video capability. What to do.... 🧐 🤔

You can have both front and back show on the screen, the back only, the front only, you can have the back screen show large on the screen and the front will show in smaller form.
