I have a red tiger one and can highly recommend it
I bought Red Tiger 4k front and rear for both my wife's and my car. Then I bought Red Tigers front facing camera for my jeep. They are both under 150 from Amazon
I feel like I've had my red tiger f7n for 2 DFW summers now. Still going
The way you are describing your current dash cam, it sounds like it is a piece of shit... Why wouldn't it record 100% of the time when you are driving? Are you searching for video clips from many months ago, or you searching for video clips from earlier in the day?
A 33GB card might be getting overwritten every couple of hours on a 4k dash cam. If your camera is the Red Tiger, I believe it supports up to 512GB cards. The other poster is correct in stating that your dash cam should be continuously recording while driving and parked. I have a viofo 4k setup with a 256gb card and it holds a few days of recording. You should wipe your memory card and see what happens in an hour of driving. Like how much memory gets used
I've had the same dash cam (Red Tiger f7n) for several years with no problem, in Houston, parking outside 100% of the time.
