"the 8:7 aspect ratio and 5.3k. That gives me much more freedom when reframing shots."

"Nice crisp clear 4K especially if you keep your streams and upload them to YT later."

"I have a pair of anker soundcore buds that I ve been using heavily daily for like 4 ish years now. ... The battery seems to last nearly as long as it did when new. ... haven noticed a decline in the originals at all."

"It takes crashes well. ... My front screen is shattered from a 70 kph tree impact, but the camera still works fine."

"When I had an android phone it would be hit or miss with connecting to the app to the point of frustration."

"And android auto is a pita as it wants to constantly reconnect, actually had to disable the damn app."

"It seems like you can’t access the videos remotely. You either have to turn on the car with your phone close by or remove the SD card and use the supplied reader to see the videos. I may be wrong but I haven’t found a way to do this remotely."

"my eero router connected to the ONT has overheated (i suspect) earlier today. The internet dropped on the eeros but I still was receiving service on the ONT and cox.com showed my network was still up. Upon touching the eero, I noticed it was pretty hot."

"Stay far away from routers with fans, I returned a tp-link wifi 7 router over this exact issue. ... Sfp port was so hot it was unreal. ... Try to cool your place in summer with air conditioning, you don't want some fan blowing heat. ... Also moving parts is a bad idea for longevity."

Got the RedTiger one in 2023. No major complaints. Video quality good, day and night. Get a polarising lens if you want, I didn't notice too much difference. Minor complaints: 1. The front cam can sometimes fall off if it's too hot outside 2. WiFi file transfer is way too slow. You can watch clips on your phone, but you probably won't have the patience to download 2 or 3 Also as others pointed out, unless you can figure it out yourself, it's about another $150-200 to hard wire it.

I'm pro dashcam. I have a redtiger brand one that's a good mix between price and quality of video. It's a good way to cover your butt if something happens or if you catch something happening to someone else

I’m using a Redtiger dashcam connected to the 12V socket, but since the socket is always powered, I have to unplug it every time I leave the car. Is there a way around this?

I got a red tiger and it’s fine. It’s not just dash cams though, building CCTV will do a lot more for you than just a dashcam if you park in the same place all the time and establish patterns in how and where you park. I could prove to the day when and how I was hit with a building cam, dashcam didn’t have footage back far enough.

I used Redtiger, may not be the best but reasonable price. I installed dashcam in all my vehicles, best investment i ever made. My daughter a new driver had parking lot fender bender, other driver claimed 100% her fault, dashcam proved she wasn't at fault. A $150 investment saved me $3K to repair her car and in the end the grumpy lady had to pay $4.5K for repair of my vehicle.

I’d also highly recommend the redtiger rear and front dash cam on Amazon, on sale for 85$ I believe, the customer service is rlly good and they sent me free replacement adhesive cuz I fucked up the first one as well as a longer usb c cable and a hardwire kit when I decided to go in that direction. I downloaded the vids and they were both really clear and I can make out license plate easily. Not affiliated but just thought the product was good, I installed one in my dad’s car as well.
