Rexing - V1-4K

I brought over a rexing V14k from my last vehicle. its pretty reasonably priced, install was easy even for hardwiring, and its reliable. Its a little ghetto but i just bought a second V1 for the rear because it was only like 40 bucks and it plugs into the adapter in the armrest

Currently running a Rexing V1-4K but looking to swap to a Viofo one due to the better app to pull footage from as well as the starvis 2 sensor and CPL. The Rexing camera is fine and does the job, I’m just tired of having to remove the SD card to check the footage.

I installed a Rexing V1 4K dashcam in my wife's 2024 CX-30. We only have the front camera, but these have a provision for plugging a second, rear facing camera in, and recording off both simultaneously. The only tricky part for installation, was buying a longer cable to send power to the dashcam. I ended up buying a 15-foot mini-USB to USB-A cable to run from the camera, down the passenger A-pillar, behind the passenger kick panel, under the glove box, under the center console trim, and up under the center armrest. Then I bought a USB-A to USB-C adapter to plug into one of the USB-C ports under the center armrest. Works great!

I bought a Rexing V1 4k dashcam. I bought it because I had them in a few other vehicles with excellent results. I have a Rexing dashcam from best buy and its been amazing so far, will say I dont know what model exactly but I do remember it was $180 with hardwire installation because they were running a sale at the time on the dash cam. Its a dual cam model with front 4k 60fps and rear 1080p 60fps and its generally a pretty decent relatively cheaper option where quality isnt sacrificed for price. Because in my opinion if you go any cheaper the quality just gets bad on dashcams because they have to make compromises to make the cameras cheap.

I was using a Rex front and rear which was great, but I got a battery warning once even though it was plugged in with the Dongar. I pulled it rather than risking a dead battery or fault

i got a rexing because it was on sale for front+rear, but viofo probably better. although the rexing literally made the same startup sounds and has the same interface as the viofo so its probably the same thing just different branding.
