Guess I need to hook my Rexing v1 pro back up then. I was wanting something new, that could send motion alerts, so that’s what I got involved with, every brand so far with this feature, over heats in park mode. The only dash cam I’ve had that hasn’t overheated in park mode was my Rexing

I hardwired my first dashcam (Rexing V1Pro), and the wiring didn’t have a functioning (or good) voltage cut off. I ended up draining my battery, twice. I think that’s the extent of the “damage” that I think you would see. As many have mentioned, the 12V adapter option is a good one. I rewired the Rexing and wired a VIOFO A229 in another car the same way. You can find seams in the car that allow you to hide the wiring. I generally went through the ceiling liner, down the passenger-side A pillar, across the glove compartment, then through whatever panel is closest to the 12V adapter.

Installed a Rexing something Pro in my dads Maverick. He wanted the parking mode as well. Could not get it to stop draining the battery. So, I just hooked it up to ACC with a micro3 fuse.

My Rexing V1P from 2016 is still going strong. I've hardwired it into my second car now. Memory card is what matters most.

Same here. I think it's a Rexing V1P, front and rear camera. Front is 1080p, rear 720p. It saved me once already cause a guy backed into me at a stop sign, and he claimed I rear ended him. It's a solid camera. My only complaint is the app for it sucks SO bad, it's barely usable. It takes 30 minutes to connect, and when it finds the video it buffers every 2 seconds when you're trying to watch it. Luckily it has an SD card slot, so it I ever need to see something I can pop that out and load it onto a laptop or phone that way.

You can use a synchronized system, such as the Rexing V1P. There's a forward facing, primary camera, which is connected directly to 12v power, and a rear facing, secondary camera, that plugs into the first camera and the cable is routed above your headliner. Then both cameras will power on together and record simultaneously.

Sorry for the rant. I use a Rexing V1P with a front and rear module and a 256GB card. The whole thing is less than $200 and it works great.

i got a rexing because it was on sale for front+rear, but viofo probably better. although the rexing literally made the same startup sounds and has the same interface as the viofo so its probably the same thing just different branding.
