I have the Rove R3 and I love it! The app kinda sucks but it’s useable and the main reason why I got it. Figured it’s better to connect to an app than having to load the SD card onto the computer. 3 camera system, front, rear and cabin
Rove r3. I have one on each Subaru I own. STI, GT, trek wilderness.
This one sits up high enough to where you run 99% of the wire through the headliner and the cars interior trim pieces. How much wire you see will depend on how long you hide it on the windshield. I have it on all three of my vehicles, we just bought a dump truck and we’re going to install one on there as well since it records, front and the cab as well as a camera facing the rear of the vehicle.
So Have you considered Rove R3? as its 3 channel super capacitor high end dash cam. I highly recommend rove for their excellence in their customer care support and hassle free memory card and fash cam warranty as they stand behind their products. Capacitor dash cam withstands heats. Look into ROVE DASH CAMS, I LIKE 3 CHANNEL ROVE R3 OR ROVE DUAL PRO FOR 2 CHANNELS.
Rove has all the bells and whistles you need for everyday dash cam . R3 is top of line to r2 dual being well versed.
Are you looking to hardwire it? Im quite happy with my r3 and r2 dual pro in my newer car, they both seem to do the job and comes with super high retina resolution and app is flawless with latest update. I love parking mode and voice guidance feature and customer service is above par.
I got a rove3 for mine it’s got front cam rear cam and cabin cam with audio and it has a hardwire kit for 24hr surveillance you can look through like a ring doorbell. And it has bump crash or nudge activation! You’re welcome US Mopars Gotta Stick Together 🫡🫡🫡
From other people who have posted and where I've read from other sources the answer would be no. You better off with aftermarket. I have the Rove r3 and it's worth flawlessly.
May not be the actual dash cam. If you are using a sunshade, the reflective heat from the sunshade can cause the camera to get very hot when parked since most people place the dash cam in front of the sunshade. I live in the SFV and have had this happen in the past. Under normal use and assuming proper placement, most decent midrange dashcams should not overheat, even with parking mode enabled. My current dash cam is the ROVE R3. Hope this helps and good luck!
