Street guardian are rather good. They're made to withstand higher heat inside cars.

Check out Street Guardian. Have had them in every single car I’ve owned and they’ve never let me down

So dashcamer here: 1. Dash cam 101 is to consistently review at least 1 clip 1x/week to make sure nothing is wrong with your camera. Having a phone reader is an easy way to do this 2. I dont think I’ve seen a dashcam that *doesnt* overwrite SD cards. 3. Your SD card needs to be dashcam compatible 4. Blurry footage can very easily be bc you have a dirty windshield. Put your camera *under* the path of your wipers at the bare minimum but clean your windshield so the camera doesn’t focus on dirt 5. If a dash cam is beeping, it’s telling you there is something wrong and you need to figure it out. If you’re ignoring beeping (outside of a startup chime when you start the vehicle), that’s on you. 6. On the SD card topic, they should be formatted in the camera prior to actually recording so the camera can set up the SD card as the camera wants it. *Not* doing this can lead to corrupted videos. 7. SD cards should be replaced a minimum of 1x/year (not applicable to OP but good info) I use street guardian cameras in both my vehicle and they haven’t failed in the 8 years I’ve had them. Did you get a dud? Maybe. Who knows. But don’t buy cheap dash cameras if you have a budget for name brand. Dashcamtalk is a great website with tons of info.
