5tabsatatime 1.0A SUV backed into me at a red light on a very busy road. He missed a store driveway. Cop shows up and writes me a ticket, didn’t even ask what happened. Told him they backed into me. He asked me if I had any evidence. Well I drive an ‘18 model 3 with built in dash cam. Never thought I would need it, but it was clutch AF. He was very mad reversing liability as the software to do so was very clunky.
andy2na 1.0FYI - Teslas have built-in dash/sentry, just make sure to plug in a large enough thumb drive or SSD (recommended). But just be warned that sometimes its not fully reliable. I saved a clip manually and it literally cut off the event I was trying to capture. But for most people, its good enough. I personally have the Blackvue 750s installed prior to when dash/sentry came out, so I left it in
