My thinkware f200 is small and hides behind my mirror nicely. I have the volume turned off so it doesn't beep at me
They look similar to my thinkware f200 series
This is the 2nd accident my poor 2021 First Edition had. I keep seeing posts of people asking how much this damage would cost or if it would be a total loss. Maybe that will help someone. Long story short the whole left side of the car was clipped by an r/IdiotsInCars/ (footage [here](https://imgur.com/iLuEDMh)) in October and I only got it back a few days ago. In total it was 16k + 2k of rental costs. For a while the body shop thought this would be a total loss (I was devastated) but they underestimated the value of the car and the other's party insurance agreed to pay up and fix all the damages (the other's party was extremely painful to deal with and I regret not using my own coverage) Anyway, the car is now back at home, fully fixed like nothing happened. I used a Ford Collision shop at a Ford's dealer. My $150 dashcam investment keeps on delivering.
I use a Thinkware F200, I picked that because I saw it listed on the Ford accessories website and there was such a huge amount of choice. So I was like "heh why not" I plug it to the OBD port under the wheel and cleanly run the wire in the trim, I never had an issue with battery drain or anything for like 4+ years.
Thinkware F200 but yeah it sucks with license plates but honestly I think they all suck at it, it's mainly useful for footage like this that make insurance claims a slam dunk.
Thinkware f200, prob not the best but it does the job
It’s the Thinkware f200, it’s very basic, I just set it and forget. Once in a while I empty it. I wish there would be an easy way (the WiFi Thinkware connect doesn’t really work well) to view the footage on the go without having to physically plug the sdcard in my laptop but that’s okay.
I like the basic Thinkware F70. It’s small and well built. Good optical quality. The F200 has rear camera.
We have had a Thinkware 200 for several years. It's front and rear, costs under $200, and work just fine in the cold. They have other models too depending on how much you want to spend. I paid a shop to install and do the wire run to the back of the car because I didn't want to mess with hiding it behind a bunch of paneling. But it's not unreasonable to do it yourself either.
I have a thinkware f series in mine and love it.
I have had 3 Thinkwares over the years on various cars, and they all work fine. Looking back at their site, it seems like they've added new features (smart integration) to a lot of their models since I've bought mine. I'm on my second F200(now Q200) since the first was in a car I sold, I like it because it's small, decent quality video, and I can download the videos to my phone. You can also configure the camera from your phone, unlike my X1000. The wifi connectivity is a little wonky when I'm in home wifi range, as they seem to compete on my android. I also have the old X1000. It has the built in screen but no wifi capability, so it's not as convenient to view the videos.
I second this. They did a great job - picked up a Thinkware front and rear dash cam set.
I tapped mine into the power above the mirror. Different Hyundai, but same concept.
Thinkware brand. I don't know the model offhand, but it's a front and rear unit and works very well.
