r/Langley • Hey Drivers! I'm looking into getting a dashcam. while doing research, i have found the 'review' (YT) market is overwhelming. So, I'll ask you guys/gals: if you have a dashcam, what are you using and are you happy with it? TIA! ->I’ve done three of them, one being in my Outback. I’d rate it as relatively easy. If you’ve seen the videos, you know about running the wire to the fuse panel. Most important step is the piggybacking of the fuses with a fuse tap and picking a proper constant and a proper switched fuse space. Get a cheep tester. My preference is Thinkware with wifi for less than $200. F70 is just fine. Scorching summer sun to winter deep freeze, I’ve never had an issue with a Thinkware camera. You don’t need the expense of a built in screen on the camera. If you ever need access to a video, you can easily grab it by wifi. Honestly in three years I think I needed to access a video once. You think you’ll view videos it all the time, but you won’t.
