Been using my Thinkware q800 pro since November 2019 and no issues and my Thinkware Q200 pro for about 3 years.
Thinkware q800 pro , going strong since November 2019, here in Phoenix
I live in Phoenix and been using Thinkware since 2019 because they are good in the heat, decent video, decent parking mode. In 2 vehicles I installed Thinkware Q800 pro. A 2k camera that has front and rear. Again both back in 2019 and both units still no problem.

Hey. One of my co-workers recommended it to me and he showed me some of the footage and its a solid product. I bought the ThinkWare Q800 for $350 based on this subreddit recommendation. I think it's a waste of money honestly the quality is the same but I don't know anything about how long these products last and warranty and all that. As for as the video goes, if an incident happens, best thing to do is still say the license number out loud and let the dash pick up the audio, in most cases, either due to the speed or whatever the plate is not always clear. A lot of guys here are dashcam enthusiasts so they might see something that we really don't even care about but I honestly won't buy any of the higher-end recommended items. That's just me.
I have a Thinkware (no longer manufactured) Q800 Pro that I love. It looks like the newer Thinkware cams have a much easier time connecting to phones and they download videos much faster, which was really my only complaint with those.
I have an older thinkware q800 pro and love mine.
I have a Thinkware q800 front and back in my car. Itβs a bit more expensive but Iβve had no issues with it. Think itβs been over 5 years now on the same sd card. The fam itself is slick enough to be out of the way under the mirror
i've been using the thinkware q800 for about a year now and it's been super reliable even in crazy hot weather! definitely worth checking out if you're tired of the whole randomly not working thing.
I second this. They did a great job - picked up a Thinkware front and rear dash cam set.
I tapped mine into the power above the mirror. Different Hyundai, but same concept.
Thinkware brand. I don't know the model offhand, but it's a front and rear unit and works very well.
For the most part, dashcams have the same internals, so do your research. I'm sure there's newer videos, but I remember LTT did a roundup pointing this out a while ago. A few years ago I ended up getting a Thinkwear "brand" front and rear.
Had a Thinkware front and back setup for 5+ years now with no issues. I recommend them.
