Vantrue - E1 Lite

That’s what I have right now. E1 Lite is even cheaper and sufficient for most people. I have a Vantrue E1 Lite that I wired into the power for the auto dim mirror. Had to take a couple panels off but it was quick and easy.

I couldn’t get the same VanTrue came to power on with the usb c ports. Did you?

It seems like there are more and more options of these every year. A lot of them, unfortunately are knock, offs and junk. The usual players are still top-notch and generally have good long-term reliability. For nighttime quality you want something that has a Starvis 2 sensor. Has greatly improved the night time video quality. Good idea to quit putting it off. Me and my mom run Vantrue E1 Lite, sure its only 1080p 30fps, but its more than enough for us at the moment. Their other stuff is amazing too

I’d look into the Vantrue E1 Lite. Clear video, works with USB, no hardwire needed. I’ve used it on long shifts and it’s solid for the price.

I'm using the Vantrue E1 Lite. It's compact and discreet. No hardwiring needed, just plug it in and it works. Video quality is solid and it stays under one hundred dollars. Great value if you want something simple.

The Vantrue E1 Lite typically goes for $72. It's front-only, but that's more than enough. I've owned/given away 4 of these and they're all working fine. I've heard good things about the VIOFO brand, too. Stay away from BlackVue. I've owned 3 of these, 2 had failed within 2 years. As for the micro SD cards, don't purchase them from Amazon! Lots of fakes there, and since they're intermingling inventories, you may still get a fake even if you buy from a legit seller. Buy these from B&HPhoto or Adorama.

Might be a bit over €60, but I’d keep an eye out for the Vantrue E1 Lite when it’s on sale. Super easy to set up and does the job well for basic recording. Great bang for the buck when you catch a deal.
