I have the Vantrue E2 front and back dashcam. It’s pretty easy to install and plugs into your AC outlet (the plug also has a spare USB so you can still plug other stuff in). I ran the wires through the headliner so it looks clean. But they have so many available on Amazon and right now it’s Black Friday deals so you can score some nice price cuts. https://preview.redd.it/yi64ajq0fk2g1.jpeg?width=4284&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8d3b19bd8bb4ede2805afc7f551f68e36db4fc0f

I have a Vantrue E2 that I moved from my 2013 Subaru to a 2025 Hyundai. One of the reasons I chose the Vantrue is that they have the option to connect via the OBD port rather than hardwiring to the fuse box. It has a voltage cutoff switch you can set to shut the camera down if the battery voltage drops below a set point. I've had it for maybe 3 years and have been pleased with it.

I ended up with a Vantrue E2 and couldn't be happier with my decision 4 months later. I really love the little button that I put next to the steering wheel to push when something happens and it puts that video in a special folder.

VanTrue E2, just had the unfortunate need to use the video recordings recently. Caught being rear ended in 1440p :<, cables are really long, just tucked it into the rubber along the doors.

Vantrue is a good one. Their front and backs are a bir expensive, but hey, they work i got one of their cheaper ones ($85) but u do need to order a few more things with it, like a micro SD card (depending on size I spent $20 on a 256gb) and u can get a hardware kit that you have to plug into your fuze box and it let's you do a parking feature so if your car gets hit or someone walks infront of a camera it will record for a minute and then stop, it also has a power protection function to keep the camera from killing the battery of your car to the point u can't start it, This is one of their front and rear ones its on sale right now https://a.co/d/8vP9Zcl And you know u can trust a company when a popular, well-known youtube mechanic recommends it (Chris-fix recommends this brand and even did a video on installing them i watched his video with little to no knowledge on how to install it and got it done in under a hour)

I’ve got a Vantrue E2 (front & rear). If you have an accessible OBD port then use a wiring kit that utilises it. This essentially lets you have the features of hard wiring but from a plug, then it’s much easier to wire yourself. I’ve only ever wired my own in (inc hardwiring previously) and would recommend anyone to give it a try, it’s mostly about hiding the wires into door seals etc
