I've done Uber a bit, and can confirm that the Vantrue N2 Pro dual (interior & exterior) dashcam is phenomenal. Especially for a clear photo of the interior on total darkness. I also own a N1 Pro (single forward facing) which great quality and value. For either, get the optional GPS mount. I like the adhesive one.

Correct. I’ve never had to use WiFi with mine. I purchased the Vantrue N2 Pro Uber Dual Dash Cam. Edit: You’ll have to buy their brand of SD Card. I purchased a 256GB Card, plenty of space. I set my recordings for every 3 minutes

I have the Vantrue N2K, it records 4k front and cabin. Clear resolution, captures a wide angle and reads all plates. Cost me $150 on Amazon last year, was originally 300. Not sure if it’s still in stock the last time I looked they were out on Amazon but check out Vantrue’s website for it or other models

Just ordered this one myself with the power battery to hardwire. Was using the vantrue pro for the last few months but want a smaller form factor.

I personally like both of my Vantrue dash cams. I have the N2 Pro and E1 Lite. The newer cameras are compatible with the Vantrue app. I just recommend not using a SanDisk SD, go with either their own SD or Samsung. I have the Samsung Pro Endurance.

Vantrue N2 pro. Saved my ass a week ago in a car accident and has indoor and outdoor view. You can look at the files on the dash cam or also using the usb provided and hooking it up to your computer. In the night it’s good quality imo too.

If you're thinking about getting a dash cam, I’d say go for one that’s easy to use and gives good video quality. Like, you don't want grainy footage, right? A couple of good options are the Vantrue N2 Pro and the Nextbase 522GW. The Vantrue N2 Pro is solid, especially if you want something with a front and rear camera—great for Uber or Lyft drivers too. The quality’s awesome, and it has night vision, which is super handy. On the other hand, the Nextbase 522GW is packed with cool tech like Alexa built-in and a touchscreen. Plus, it's got this neat Emergency SOS feature, just in case. For budget-friendly stuff, check out the Anker Roav Dash Cam—it’s simple, easy, and gets the job done without breaking the bank. Just make sure it has loop recording (so it overwrites old footage) and parking mode, so you're covered when the car’s off. Oh, and don’t forget to grab a good memory card too!

I’d stick to a VanTrue or Viofo, personally.

Yea, my dad has a VanTrue N2 Pro - it’s for rideshare drivers and cabbies. But, it uses a battery - NorCal isn’t Texas or Arizona but if I had to do it again, it’s a Viofo 3-channel system.

Vantrue N2 pro. Goes on sale often on Amazon. Inside and outside camera. A lot of good options have been suggested. Another one for you to check out.

I use a vantrue n2 pro. In side and front cam with audio. Been running this one for a year and no major issues compared to the couple others I've tried from different brands. I got it on Amazon for around $100, it goes on sale periodically. Most of the cheaper cams under 200ish use the same sensors anyways but out of the couple brands I've tried this ones held up great. Only suggestion for any cam is get a decent brand SD card as you don't want to put your trust in whatever generic crap they mail it to you with. I've been using samsung evo cards.

I have a Vantrue Pro Dual hardwired in with the GPS mount and I love it. Warning with the 24 the fuse panel is buried passenger side behind the right side panel. You have to remove a few pieces of trim and the body clips are cheaply made as usual. Use removal tools and be careful. The next issue is the fuse panel is very small, not labeled and sealed water tight so you have to cut yourself a small path for the leads. Wires are completely hidden and the playback ia high def, and tracks my location / speed. You get what you pay for so remember that if you go cheap. With a big memory card this thing holds a ton of data. Has a switch to power down if its in park mode and the battery drops below a certain voltage. I bought one after I got hit by a car on my Harley in a hit and run, and then I ran accidents here in my area and found that a large majority are hit and run. Ive also had someone try to lie when I was T boned years and years ago.

I have a Thinkware in my car (used it for the last 4 years) even had to use the footage once and it’s been amazing. Bought the girlfriend a Vantrue 2-channel for front and rear camera and it’s been great these past few months, footage is crisp. Blackvue was my 3rd option if I could t find anything with those two that fit my needs

I have the “Vantrue N2 Pro” in my ND, plugged into the OBD2 port. It has front and rear lenses to capture all around the car. I originally wanted one with a separate camera mounted out the rear window, but I couldn’t find a good place to mount one that works with the top up and down.

I use Vantrue N2 Pro. It does all that. It does have a display, but the display can be disabled IIRC. No cloud. I wouldn't be surprised if you could disable the microphone, but I wouldn't if it was me - can always remove audio track after the fact if it was ever necessary. Uber app lets you register your dashcam and as I understand it your riders will be informed of it.

Vantrue N2 Pro. Any model that captures audio and video both ways is fine. You’ll need an SD card as well.
