hard-of-haringNot bad, I'm ordering one now. My dashcam is a venture n2 pro with a GPS mount but the cord is only 3feet. The 12v power outlet under the radio stopped working last year. I haven't found a cable long enough with a micro USB connection.

ScrewySiuI've had 2 Vantrue hotwired to my cars. I had the old N2 Pro, which worked great until the battery swelled up. Still worked, just couldn't run at all on the battery, just shut off. When I got my new car, got the N2X and works great. When my sister wanted a dashcam, recommend Vantrue & she loves it. Great quality videos and easy to use. I haven't tried the wifi connection to my phone yet though.

the_rational_driverI bought a Vantrue N2 and the biggest SD card it would hold off Amazon. This model does require a computer to download the video from the SD card. It sounds to me like you would prefer something with cloud storage that you could access from your phone. Your top of the line brands like Vantrue, Nexar, and BlackVue all have models with this feature. There are budget friendly options out there. Just read reviews and cross-check with YouTube to see if the model you are interested in has a review done by someone who has bought one. And once you buy one, you can have it professionally installed if you feel uneasy doing it yourself.
