"If you can spend money get a Viofo and enjoy high quality videos ... So practically I have 8mp IMX678 sensor on front camera and 5mp IMX675 sensor on back camera which is all other brands put on front cameras (Rove, Xiaomi etc.) even it is Starvis 2 new sensor it ’s still a 5mp. So back camera performance on Viofo is similar to top brands new dashcams front camera ... Top of the line sensor with 8mp and Stravis IMX 678 sensor - image quality is perfect. ... because I want not just dash cam for the sake of having dash cam, but also best image quality therefore I spend more. ... "Only flaw is that it doesn’t upload to a cloud, to get the footage on it you either need to take out the SD card or be within a 6 food radius of it to access the files through the app on your phone."
Also using vantrue (n4 i think), and I'm very happy with the performance.
r/KiaTelluride • Dash Cam for the 2025 Telluride SX Prestige ->I have a Vantrue N4 Pro (3ch) in my car and a Baseus VD1 Pro (2ch) in my wife. If it’s your first time getting a dashcam, I’d recommend the VD1 Pro since it’s a nice balance of price/quality/easy setup. Some cheaper dashcams only record in interpolated 4K, which looks blurry compared to true 4K. Within this price range, the most important thing is to make sure the one you get has good build quality and clear recording.
r/dashcams • Which dashcam brand gives the best value for the money? ->I have the Vantrue N4 Pro in my Tacoma and an N4 (non Pro) in my wife's 2025 Nissan Leaf. The Pro has wifi capabilities in which you can access the footage via the app. The whole setup is pretty easy, and I wired both vehicles using The Dongar adapters that connect at the rear view mirror (most newish cars have power of some sort in the mirror). YouTube was a good resource for the truck, but hardly nothing for the Leaf, so I had to put on the ol thinking cap. No need to do a hard wire if you don't want to, and it looks clean with no wires hanging. The Dongar usually runs about $30, just make sure you know what pin type you need. Even running the wires under the overhead liner for the rear camera is super easy.

r/Acura • dash cam recommendations ->I’ve been using the Vantrue N4 Pro 4K 3 Channel Dash Cam for a few years and have faced no issues whatsoever. It actually saved me recently from a hit and run with the parking mode, lady scratched the hell out of my door and it got her license plate. Only flaw is that it doesn’t upload to a cloud, to get the footage on it you either need to take out the SD card or be within a 6 food radius of it to access the files through the app on your phone.

Put in the time and labor to hardwire it ($90) and you have something WAY less expensive than the dealership charge. F that. Buy aftermarket and get what you need, a 3 channel dash cam. Saved my buttore than once.
