Vantrue - N5S 4-Channel Dash Cam

I'm going through a bit of a journey with dash cams. *TL;DR: I'm likely going to go with Viofo A299 Pro, but I'm looking in to their other offerings because the side cameras would be kind of nice.* Got the Viofo A299 Pro - this one is the best I've tried so far. I returned it impulsively because I thought I'd want the Ventrue N5 4-channel, but that thing never picked up when I said to lock the footage and eventually just died. It's currently heading back to Amazon and I think I'm going to try the Thinkware U3000. The radar features sound really interesting and the U1000 came highly recommended. I will likely re-buy the A299 Pro. My only real issue is that the app is kind of a bummer to use. But I've gotten around this by keeping an SD card adapter in my car that I can connect to my phone and pull the clips off.

I think it may have been my fault. Wife got me a front windshield cover that opens like an umbrella, I forgot to take the camera down so it was cooked. The inside cam worked, the forward camera blanked out

Been using the Vantrue N5S, the recording quality is really good. It caught a driver who scratched my car, otherwise I would have had to cover the damage myself.

Just get a third party dashcam. Viofo and Vantrue both have three channel dashcams with better quality for much less than that. And you can pay someone to install it and still be less than $590 I have a Vantrue N5 installed in my car

I own a vantrue n5s, which offers 360‑degree coverage of my car. The footage can be viewed directly through the companion app, making review and export straightforward.

I use a vantrue N5 and E360, both are not under $100...they may have ones under $100.... There is a lens filter for some of their cameras that you would need to configure by rotating till you find the sweet spot otherwise there would be a glare from the sun or headlights. As for night driving lol, your lights reflect off the other car's plate when you review footage their plates are whited out.... Thus if you're not injured read out the plate, your dashcam will record your voice....that's if it doesn't fly off the mount....

Vantrue S1Pro or, what I have now, the N5. No drilling. TBH, I've never encountered a dashcam that required drilling for a rear cam.

I recently got the Vantrue N5S. I had the older model on my trade in and worked like a charm. A bit pricey but the quality and the adhesive power on the windscreen survived blazing hot days with no problems. Has a rear cam. Don’t forget to get the right SD card and cable adhesive clips.

Vantrue or VIOFO. They both use the Sony Starvis image sensor and have great quality. The cameras are pretty set and forget if you opt for the hardwire kit. It will turn on and off with the car and start recording as soon as it starts up. The included power adapter does the same thing if your power port in your car turns off with the ignition.

I got vantrue N5S for a while, and I’m very happy with it. It provides full-angle coverage, and the parking mode is really useful.
