Best one I have found and currently have is the Vantrue Sonnet Pro Max. (I have the front and rear camera) It has Starvis 2 abd 4k quality, it sits to the left of my rear view mirror and is not distracting at all while driving. I have it hard wired to the fuse box. You can also plug it into the cigarette lighter. If you hardwire it, you can use the parking mode feature which starts recording if motion is detected near your vehicle while it’s off and parked.

OP, [this post convinced me to get a VanTrue S1 Pro](https://www.reddit.com/r/dashcams/comments/1luh6dy/vantrue_s1_pro_max_is_the_probably_the_nicest_cam/), which is a dual 4k system. Only had it for about 4 months but I will say the app is way better than any other dashcam I’ve used.
I don’t have either of these but I have the Vantrue s1 pro. And im very glad I have it. Catch crazy stuff all the time and I even caught a clear recording of my car being broken into. Helped with my police report and insurance
I ahve the vantrue S1 pro, cant complain, its git that Sony starving 2 thing where it makes the plates like clearer and jump out, has a Bunch of new "AI" features like sensing how close youre to something, lane chnage assist etc ( ive not tested these yet just seen them ). Its very good quality video and its been used to report a few instances of dangerous driving, I wouldnt have been able to read the numberplates without it, especially on my old amazon special one. Really nice app and GPS support so no questioning location time and speed, and its got all the features youd expect like low bit rate / low fps 24/7 parking or just motion detection / impact detection etc
They do plenty of models to suit different budgets and needs, im going to get my sister one of the smaller ones as theyre still insanely good video and has the app and GPS etc
