I have the Vantrue X4S Duo with gps. I placed it on the left directly behind my rear view mirror. The screen is half obscured, but I don’t need to see it while driving. I have it set to show the rear camera, sometimes it helps me see what’s behind me at night. I chose the left rather than the right, because there’s a sensor behind the mirror on the right for the homelink/smart dimming mirror. I’ve had no issues with the camera blocking the eyesight cameras. The cable for the rear camera is tucked in my headliner behind the airbags and it was about 6 feet too long for my Outback. Thankfully there’s a large empty gap in the headliner behind where middle seat seatbelt comes out of the ceiling. It works really well and I won’t be getting a new one until this one dies, but I wish I went with a bigger name brand. The gps module always puts me in London, even though I live in the US. The company can’t figure it out and they sent me replacement gps modules, but it never gets my location right. It’s annoying, but not a deal breaker.

r/Gifts • What should I get for a new car owner? ->I have a 2 channel Vantrue I’ve been using for about a month now. No issues and so far it’s done what it’s suppose to. Very easy to use.
r/dashcams • Prime day buy the Vantrue N5 ->Vantrue 4K front, cabin and back of car. Reaaaally great camera with all the angles covered
r/NewOrleans • What dash cams y'all use? ->Most dashcams with “GPS” feature show speed. [Vantrue has some good 2 channel and 3 channel cams](https://www.reddit.com/r/dashcams/s/65SdNGK6Jc) tried and tested. Same with VIOFO, Garmin, and blackvue. Stay away from Pruveeo.
r/Dashcam • Good dashcam? ->My Vantru was 3 years old when the Texas sun took it out.
r/uberdrivers • I know there is 10,000 posts about dash cams. Can we hear from people who have had them for a long time? ->I think it may have been my fault. Wife got me a front windshield cover that opens like an umbrella, I forgot to take the camera down so it was cooked. The inside cam worked, the forward camera blanked out

Can we hear from people who have had them for a long time? ->Front/rear facing Van True dash cam is what I used driving Uber on our ‘21 Sienna. Added one lookin out the back after being tailgated by a Peterbilt on I-80 in Pennsylvania. All I could see was chrome in the rear view mirror at 75mph. Easy enough to install and hide power supply cables. (Picture resolution roughly the equivalent of an iPhone 11)
r/ToyotaSienna • DashCam ->I have a Vantru dash cam. I do not recommend them at all. Get a Viofo instead.
r/mazda3 • Do you guys have a dash cam on your Mazda 3 ? ->They don't do well in hot climates and in the summer here it gets over 100 f. So one day the camera just died. I started a claim and they made me make all these videos trying to get it to work. Eventually they determined it needed to be replaced and sent a new one after they recieved the dead one. The replacement didn't work either. So I had to do the entire process again. Luckily the third camera was the charm. Now I take my camera with me inside so it doesn't bake in the heat.
r/mazda3 • Do you guys have a dash cam on your Mazda 3 ? ->There are a few bigger brands, tho you never heard of them probably. I have 2 vantru cameras in 2 cars. About $165 each. Work fine. 2 camera install for each ( front and back) get a memory card ( a heavy duty or their suggested one) This particular brand has a “capacitor battery” instead of standard battery… resists in-car heat better than a battery. They’re a good idea… my daughter was in an accident, … other I lady ran a stop sign, and luckily it was caught on a home security camera. Made it a slam dunk case… swore from that moment to put a camera in every car.
r/dashcams • What should I believe about dashcams? ->Vantru and Blackvue are highly rated. I have one in one one of my cars but not the other.
r/uberdrivers • Do you guys have dash cams? ->I have a Vantru in the semi that I’ve had since late 2020, it records 24/7/365, I just replaced the memory card, but it works perfectly.
r/uberdrivers • I know there is 10,000 posts about dash cams. Can we hear from people who have had them for a long time? ->Actually, I bought this in 2021, it’s forward facing only, it has NV, they don’t list it anymore
