"even with the tint to my front windshield, still takes good pictures/videos. ... Honestly, I was skeptic considering I have front tint but it does extremely well even with the tint. Happy with my purchase."
"the starvis 2 sensor this has is great. I have both the older and newer viofo units, and the starvis 2 definitely makes a difference compared to the previous gen."
"I got it because of the Starvis 2 sensor which gives improved clarity in the dark. ... If anyone is driving at night I highly recommend any dashcam with a Starvis 2 sensor."

"connect it to a spare cable in the upper console with an adapter. It makes for a very clean install without having to run long lines or tap into the fusebox."
"It’ll be easier to install though."

"Capacitor powered. That’s what makes them be able to handle hot and cold temps. ... I would never get a battery powered dashcam."
"My A119 has six years on it in the hot Arizona sun. ... Only recently had a change the SD card. ... Camera still works perfect."
"I ’ve also had really good luck with the A119 and A129 in the Arizona heat for the last few years."

"The hardwire kit has a large bulge in the cable (capacitor?) that unfortunately you cannot stuff, so I need to remove the plastic"

"I don't trust them anymore with their built in capacitors that died."
I have Viofo a119 Mini 2, it was the number one recommended item for budget cameras on the dashcams subreddit. It's great so far, captures plates well and easy to set up
I'd go at leaat $90 and get the A119 Mini 2. Used a couple of cheaper ones but couldn't rely on them, and that's the main thing you need in a dashcam. I'm certain there's cheaper okay ones, but I wouldn't be able to trust them personally. Make sure you're frequently checking the videos from a cheaper one if you're going to cheap out on these.
Check out r/Dashcam - there's a list of recommended dashcams I have a VIOFO A119 Mini 2 and I'm happy with that
VIOFO A119 Mini 2. It is not under 100, but it is a very good dashcam
Go with the Viofo A119 Mini2. [It’s $85 right now and a perfect beginner cam. ](https://www.reddit.com/r/pcpartsales/comments/1p4jmki/misc_viofo_dash_cam_a119_mini_2_starvis_2_sensor/) Don’t waste your money on anything cheaper. I had a cheap $40 cam to start and after months of use I realized it did not save half of the videos. Never again.
I have a mini also as my first dash cam. I bought a viofo a119mini2 last month and love it. For the price and quality way better. It has a small monitor and i like that it came with a static film especially if you have tint. Also easy to remove the unit since you can slide the dash cam from its mount. I was gonna get a garmin but glad i did more research.
Viofo makes good cams that are fairly priced. I have an A119 mini 2.
Vortex Radar does some good dash cam reviews. I have a Viofo 119 Mini 2, great picture and phone app.
My A119 Mini 2 transfers video to my iPhone pretty quickly. It has GPS coordinates and speed. Check out Vortex Radar on YouTube for his reviews.
Yes. Mine Bluetooth transfers to the phone quick. They’re one minute videos though.
My bad I meant to say Wi-Fi
I like the VIOFO A119 Mini 2
I wish they sold rear cameras separately. I bought one of these last year and wish i got the dual front and back instead
So... Weirdly enough, dash cam tech or options hasn't progressed nearly as much as you would think over the past decade... At least from everything I've seen. Most of the better options are going to be Chinese made setups. I personally use a Viofo and I like it. It's adequate for what I need it for. I wanted a fairly PnP, inconspicuous, good quality recorder that required little interference on a daily basis and the Viofo A119 Mini 2 offers that. Granted, I only sprung for the single channel option but they do make options with front + rear as you're looking for. Anything you get, just make sure it has a Starvis 2 sensor because it's notably better than the previous gen option. It's worth noting there's a lot more to look at than just the camera features and specs. I think you mentioned ease of use/accessing footage? I recommend you look at reviews on each brands software/app ... Viofo's app works fine but connecting literally takes a minute or two sometimes which is annoying. A few other quirks but far from deal breaking.
