6SpeedBluesI've used the A119v2 and now have the A229... The newer ones have more sensitive sensors for more clarity and better images in low light / at night.
AdultishRaktajinoMy first A119 v2 died in under a month. Warrantied replacement seems to be working well. It will randomly protect a recording or take a photo when in use. I’m thinking it’s misinterpreted voice commands from the radio or occasionally when scraping the windshield of ice.
dizzie_buddy1905A basic but long lasting unit is the Viofo A119v3. My V2 has survived 5 years of Alberta winters. It’s also a favorite of dashcamtalk.
djltorontoI know, I just found it comical... Some of my best dash cam videos come from my old 1080p dash cam from 2016... Viofo a119 v2 [sample video](https://youtu.be/zopX39FKBew) possibly mildly NSFW.
dwvlI didn't know Viofo were recommended on here. I compared samples of video quality from a comparison site somewhere online years ago. I chose Viofo, and that's what's been running faultlessly on our family's cars for years. Two V2 and one V3. So I recommend Viofo too!
frying_pansI’ve had that one in my truck for a few years and it’s worked great. Although I think I have the v2.
