Any dashcam from Viofo. Choose the model that fit your needs. I use A129 Pro at the front, powered by OBD port, so it gets power 24/7 for parking mode. Warn you this may stress the 12V battery. For the back I have a A119 V3 (from my old car) connected to the cigarette port. So no parking mode as the port cuts power when the car is locked. Not the most discreet dashcams but very good build quality and video quality for the price. Not just my own words. r/Polestar • Best dash cams? ->I suggest to get any Viofo besides the A229 (audio quality can turn loud at certain times), Either go with the A119 or A129, best models or either a Garmin or Thinkware, you can find some of them for under $200 or $100 and they're very easy to install!

This is the one I just ordered on Amazon and it was one of their top reviewed. ->It depends on how much you want to have recorded around you, and how much you're wiling to spend. I have a Nofio A129 4K dashcam and it's fantastic. I don't have it hardwired, I just plug it in when I'm driving and unplug it when I park so it doesn't drain my battery ('01 Silverado's have their 12V sockets always powered) Just starting out, wanting to get a good cam but not spend too much, I'd recommend a 4K Viofio camera that's just forward-facing. If you're paranoid about someone rear-ending you, then get a forward and backward facing camera kit. Only reason I say 4K is so you have a much better chance of being able to make out someone's license plate in the footage if a hit and run happens.

r/Dashcam • I want a dashcam, but I was advised against it. ->Been using the viofo a129 for the past 5 years and still going well. Got the package one with front and rear cam included. It can also either be hard wired (with instructions) but I just plugged it in my auxiliary port cause I cant be bothered. Just tidied up the wirings and made sure its well tucked in the headboard as well as the pillars for a clean look. One important thing to consider as well is getting a good memory card. Make sure to get at least a high endurance/class 10 and ensure to refresh it every quarter or so.

(096 70ah). My car was vandalised twice and both times the dashcam, a Viofo A129, had stopped recording in under 12 hours. Replaced it with a Thinkware U3000 and now get a few days.
