I put my Viofo A139 on my '25 outback Personally I would go with anything good, 4k and a rear camera. I wired it directly to the fuse panel to start up automatically everytime. https://www.viofo.com/products/a139-3ch-3-channel-dash-cam-front-2k-1440p-interior-1080p-rear-1080p-5ghz-wi-fi-gps-dash-camera?srsltid=AfmBOoo54lkkwybWLXJATfliCNJ3Ouvd5iVu2dR_bqfYITYVKocDkGVG
r/Subaru_Outback • Dash cam reccomendation 2025 Outback ->Really liking our viofo A139. Really clear image!
r/CarTalkUK • What is the best dashcam to buy? ->In the daytime, a cheap dashcam will perform well. It's at night, that the expensive ones shine. More expensive dashcams also tend to have better parking modes, and may have a few extra features like voice recognition to save a clip. I've wired in a few dashcams, and I wouldn't buy a Nextbase. Nextbase are marginally simpler to hardwire, for sure, but if you're going to the trouble of wiring it in, it's honestly 2-3 minutes extra work to connect a second wire, for the likes of a Viofo A139. The first connection is always on. The second connection goes to something that only comes down with the ignition. This means the camera can tell when the car is off and change into a lower power (1 frame per second) parking mode. Take a look at my posts for video footage from a Viofo A139, and reply if you need any advice.
r/irelandsshitedrivers • Best dash cam? ->I got the VIOFO A139 and video quality at night is incredible. Cannot speak for A229, but the brand itself is legit https://preview.redd.it/4z6m298zxlrd1.png?width=3024&format=png&auto=webp&s=d24cf41f9e3b3f637b3147c64f6e6175f402befd
r/crv • Dashcam and weather mats recommendation for 2025 crv ->I have the Viofo a139. Works well. Has a newer sensor for low light (Sony Starvis 2). There are other manufacturers using this as well. Lots of YouTube videos out there
r/dashcams • dashcam came in clutch ->Viofo was high on my list until I got its A139. It's now an expensive paper weight.
r/Dashcam • Best reputable brand name dashcam ->I went with the A139 because it doesn’t have a screen. AFAIK, there’s no way to completely disable the screen on the A229.
r/Dashcam • is the a229 pro the best 2ch dashcam? ->I’ve had dashcams for like a decade now and hardly ever use the screen after the initial setup. I’ll admit the screen does help with checking the angle of the camera if you bump it while cleaning the windshield. Without a screen, you have to open the app to check. The screen is definitely not useful for seeing anything live. On the A139, I did the config with the phone. To get at videos, I pull the card and use a card adapter in my phone or computer.
r/Dashcam • is the a229 pro the best 2ch dashcam? ->I have a 3 channel viofo, love it. Easy install, works great.
r/Dashcam • Anyone have experience with this Viofo 3 channel dash cam? ->I've been using it with rideshare for a few months now. The quality of the video is top notch with the Starvis 2 sensor even at night. Fast Wi-Fi, good app, decent microphone, voice commands and that great "low profile" wedge shape for which Viofo is known. I'm using a Samsung card just fine. It sees a bunch of use with my work, and I check the card and format on a schedule. If I have any complaints, it is probably about the interior camera. It just feels cheap compared to everything else. The quality, even for 1080p, looks subpar to other interior camera combos I've had, and the exposure is just "weird" in that it doesn't exactly flatter anyone sitting in the car. It also has an IR cut filter (or something similar) so every time a set of bright lights hits it at night, you hear the audible *click* of the IR turning on/off which is annoying. I thought dash cameras were moving away from this. Lastly, while the IR coverage is fine, the scope is narrowed so that anything out of the cone/"periscope" of light coverage isn't lit nearly as well. My previous camera (Coxpal), while it had its own issues, did all these things better with its interior camera. Otherwise, it is a really solid camera. Have it hardwired for parking mode, and it's given me no operational issues whatsoever.
r/Dashcam • Anyone have experience with this Viofo 3 channel dash cam? ->3 channel viofo Also protects against wrongful accusations from future girls in car
r/Dashcam • New teen driver-do I need a rearview camera or just front? ->I’d stick to a VanTrue or Viofo, personally.
r/Costco • Anyone have the Atomi dash cam or done any research on it? ->Yea, my dad has a VanTrue N2 Pro - it’s for rideshare drivers and cabbies. But, it uses a battery - NorCal isn’t Texas or Arizona but if I had to do it again, it’s a Viofo 3-channel system.
r/Costco • Anyone have the Atomi dash cam or done any research on it? ->I have viofo 3 channel with dongar pro
r/ToyotaTacoma • Installing front and rear dash cam (with 24/7 recording) ->The best cameras are the Viofos but the Fitcam is the easiest to install cleanly and looks OEM so it really depends on what you're after.
r/Polestar • Dash cam Recommendations ->I've owned several Viofos and I don't trust them anymore with their built in capacitors that died. I now have 70mai brand. Have the model A800S
r/Ioniq5 • Recommendations for a dash cam? ->I've ran several viofos with no problems. Currently run a A119 V3. No problem easy install. Been running them for years. Usually if something is wrong, its the sd card.
r/ram_trucks • Any opinions on a good dash cam? ->
