"I live in a 2700 square foot cookie-cutter tract house. First floor is laminate with an office that has carpet. Then there’s the stairs which leads to 5 carpeted bedrooms, two tile bathrooms, a laundry room, and a walk-in carpeted closet. I can get all of that done one charge."
"I'm almost certainly gonna go with the A329. I just learned that the 70mai A810 uses a battery and not a capacitor. Batteries are terrible for dash cams due to how hot the inside of a car gets in the summer here."
"I've used it in May and January, perfection in every season."

"I have U3000 and night vision is great. ... I was rear ended 3 days after install at night and footage shows every expression on the ladies face as she slammed into me."
"records clear enough in day and night to submit to insurance or a YouTube channel"
"i want the best resolution camera back there, and the dual ones out there, including fitcamx, all have 1080p res. the viofo is 4k ... the last 5 cars have all had front and rear cameras, and at least 3 times we got punted in the rear, not once in the front. one time some dumbass ran in to us at the wendys drive thru. another was when we were stopped at a red lite."

"Yes my crash was at night and rear camera which is only 2K had what I consider perfect night vision. I could clearly see her facial expressions as she plowed into the back of my car."

"Can't see it at all! ... it is 100% hidden away. ... if it wasn't for seeing the bottom .25" of the back camera you wouldn't know it's there"
"Super easy. ... Took about 20-30 minutes"
"Was easily able to run the wires on the top, press it behind the header with the spudger they gave and make it look nice. Then on the liftgate theres a plastic cover panel you can take off to bundle the extra wire and make the drop to the camera really nice and clean."

"I got it because of the Starvis 2 sensor which gives improved clarity in the dark. ... If anyone is driving at night I highly recommend any dashcam with a Starvis 2 sensor."
"For my EV6, I decided to go with the Viofo A139 Pro, and the picture quality is significantly better for both daytime and nighttime."
"the Dual kit has one of the newest camera specs on the market. ... Starvis 2 is important for night quality reading plates. ... The novatek version also makes a difference. ... The dual is the newest specs."

"$179 is pretty nuts. ... As long as people keep buying them and paying the esports tax, they're gonna keep selling them at this crazy price. ... The G305 feels really similar, but at 1/3 the price. ... I don't truely understand why the G pro light is all the rage. ... "My Viofo A139 pro does not work on any of the cars USB-C connections tried many different cables none work ... my phone charged fine from all those USB-C connections with all the tried cables. ... When I measure the power when my phone is connected it can only pull 7 Watt."
Coming from a Viofo A139 Pro 2CH, here are my thoughts. The BlackVue software is much more user friendly compared to the Viofo software. I do prefer the video I get from the Viofo though. Viofo is able to utilize HDR and you aren't locked to 1 minute recordings. On top of that, the video sometimes look grainy on the blackvue. With the blackvue though, I also have a blackvue external battery that integrates well in the app. I also changed from a Viofo because it stopped working after a year of use. EDIT: I guess I am satisfied, but do wish there were some improvements on the blackvue model.
Still working on adding a feature filter to my site, but here’s all the no-screen front + rear options I carry. [DR590X](https://hachielectronics.com/products/blackvue-dr590x-plus) [DR970X](https://hachielectronics.com/products/blackvue-dr970x-plus-1ch-2ch) [DR970X-Box](https://hachielectronics.com/products/blackvue-dr970x-box-plus-2ch) [Q200](https://hachielectronics.com/products/thinkware-q200-1ch-2ch) [U3000](https://hachielectronics.com/products/thinkware-u3000-1ch-2ch) Viofo’s screenless front + rear camera (the 139 series) was discontinued a while back so they’re not listed anymore but I still have a couple A139 Pro 2CHs laying around. If you want one of those let me know. And yeah, as others have said, you can disable the screen on the other Viofos. Their form factor allows them to tuck nicely behind the rearview mirror so I would consider their other options too.
I'm going with the Viofo A139 Pro Duo for my car. It's got a Starvis II sensor and seems to outperform most other cameras in the comparison videos. It is unobtrusive and doesn't have a screen. Many people don't realise that having a dashcam with the screen switched on can get them prosecuted under the same law that forbids having a TV within sight of the driver. When mounting a camera, put it inside the arc of the wipers, out of your line of sight so it has clean glass to look through and doesn't obstruct your vision. I've seen people with cameras and satnavs with them right in the middle of the windscreen. I was the victim of a rear-ending a couple of years ago by someone on their phone. I was in Southampton at the weekend and had 3 people pull out on me at roundabouts inside 15 minutes. I do think the standard of driving is getting worse and having a camera is becoming more necessary for my own protection.
I really like the look of the Viofo A139 Pro. 4k, excellent image quality, dual camera. It records in an SD card, in the camera. You connect to its built in WiFi to retrieve the footage. It does not need WiFi or cell coverage to function
I have the Viofo A139 Pro Duo, and I really like it. Good pictures, smooth videos. I had a Rove R2-4k (front only) on my car that recently got totaled. It worked well through the wreck, kept the footage, etc. I had it for 5 years, no issues. There is a 2-channel option, also. If you haven't yet, I would really recommend going to r/Dashcam. They'll have different guides, and possibly more options. You can also look at dashcam video quality there and in some other subs (r/IdiotsInCars) is a fun one to see different camera quality. And please, for the love of all things shiny, get a 2-channel dash cam for your car, too. It's worth the cost.
Viofo a139 duo (it’s been replaced by the a139 duo pro )or red tiger f9 these both have no screens on them so they are tiny
I love my red tiger f9 small the app is so good & it’s under 130$ & it’s 4k Check it out on Amazon For my suv I ran a viofo a139 duo pro
I love my red tiger f9 4k the app is bomb 2nd option is viofo a139 duo ( app isn’t great but I have a usb c sdcard reader just incase ) These two cameras are tiny so they are hidden quite well You can get them from Amazon
Viofo A139 Pro 2CH. never had any issues with it. great app connectivity, and has settings for parking mode if you hardwired it (which i haven't yet). highly recommend if youre looking for a good quality 2 channel cam
VIOFO A139 Pro Dual Channel with Hachi Electronics ASC connector. I originally wired it to the cabin fuse box with fuse taps, but Hachi electronics is the cleaner install. My gripe with the A139 Pro is where the buttons are located. Pushing in them induces a prying motion on the 3M tape and causes it to peel. I frequently turn off the camera when parking at home to save battery as I have sufficient CCTV to cover. Also the camera slides onto the GPS module which is then 3M to the glass. On certain high g turns it’ll slide the dash cam out. I have a little piece of tape to prevent this.
Viofo A139 pro duo. The new A339 pro duo is super nice but pricy. Which ever you get 100% only use a sandisk max endurance 256GB micro SD card. Normal and performance SD cards for cameras will not be reliable in a dash camera. And absolutely get a front and rear facing. If your dash camera does not come with a polarized lens kit, buy it. [this is footage form my 139 pro duo](https://www.reddit.com/r/IdiotsInCars/s/7Ov3W4GNJh)
Viofo A329 front and rear facing. Combo with a sandisk max enduramce 256GB micro SD. Do not use a different microSD card. Dash cameras are very hard on the card and this one is meant specifically for this us usage and warranty for it. 369 on blackboxmycar I would suggest reformatting a.k.a. wiping the card every two months If you need a more value days cam. The A139 pro duo is 199 for front and rear facing. Front is 2k and rear 1080P. the sale price is viofo own website. I’d link them for you but subs frowns upon helpful links
[viofo A229 pro](https://www.blackboxmycar.com/products/viofo-a229-pro-tele-3ch-4k-2k-telephoto-4x-optical-zoom-1080p-dash-cam) you get 4k 30FPS front, a 2k 30Fps tele long distance front camera, and a 1080P 30FPS rear. This allows you to get really good footage in the front and with a telly lens, it allows you to have more time where you can capture a quality image of the license plate, even as they speed away. And since generally, the rear cars are coming at you the lower 1080 P is fine because they’re coming closer and closer. On ale 309, which leaves you some money for a sandisk MAX endurance micro SD 256GB card. Only use this card normal SD cards are not meant for the rights and rewrite cycles of dash camera sees.. these have a lifetime warranty specifically for dash camera and security camera usage. If you have quality ceramic window tint, you don’t need a CPL filter. If you have no window tint or it’s cheaper stuff then this is basically a polarized lens, which makes the image way more clear in sunlight. You can plug it into your cigarette lighter, or you can hardwire it in and activate the parking mode. So if it gets hit while you’re away, the G force sensor will record what happens in a set interval before and after detection. This is my viofo A139 pro duo https://www.reddit.com/r/ConvenientCop/s/hWlSYNXQnb at night time. Where the HDR it has comes in clutch
Happy with Viofo for almost a decade now. Since the first A119, currently running the A139 Pro 4k 2Ch and just got another A119M Pro delivered as a small Christmas gift for a family member's first car.
