"We have traveled to 3 countries with it, set it up on taxis etc."
"Super easy. ... Took about 20-30 minutes"
"sets up in under 3 min including stake out time. ... Take down is just as fast and it fits in its storage bag with out much fuss. ... set up in under 90 seconds 120 if you putting in stakes."

"the 8:7 aspect ratio and 5.3k. That gives me much more freedom when reframing shots."
"Nice crisp clear 4K especially if you keep your streams and upload them to YT later."

"if you decide to get the N5, pay for the Vantrue branded SD card. It’s certified to handle the speeds necessary to record 4 video streams at once. When I first got this dashcam, I tried several other high speed name brand cards (Samsung, SanDisk, etc), and they all had issues."
"Basically a set it up and leave it situation. Since our 12v plug ins are keyed to power we never have to touch it"
"I have these in 2 vehicles, and one has been installed for almost 3 years. No issues whatsoever."

"Me too. And I use Apple Airpods. $$$$$"
"$179 is pretty nuts. ... As long as people keep buying them and paying the esports tax, they're gonna keep selling them at this crazy price. ... The G305 feels really similar, but at 1/3 the price. ... I don't truely understand why the G pro light is all the rage. ... I used a G pro for a week, and while it did feel very smooth and responsive, I also had a G305 that felt very similar."
"overpriced and don't ever prove the price difference in sound over the az100."

"My Eufy X8 died a death"
"99% of first gen and second gen eventually become faulty after 1 year. ... I had 4 Mila, they all died the same way, replacement had the same fate, I gave up and threw all 4 of them away."
""NeverChange" with "up to 5 years use" is purely a marketing gimmick. ... [The owner's manual for the HP150 series] states this is "based on 50% CADR declined, 135 sq. ft. cleaning area and 12 hours daily operation on MAX fan speed." ... [The infographic on the model HP152 product page] is different, claiming the cleaning area is "300 sq. ft." ... Either way, that's much smaller than the 650 sq. ft. rating. ... And obviously any mechanical filter's lifespan depends on pollutant concentrations."
The best cameras are the Viofos but the Fitcam is the easiest to install cleanly and looks OEM so it really depends on what you're after.
r/Polestar • Dash cam Recommendations ->Yep, for both my CX5 and 3. The Viofos work well, while they still work. I find after 2 years they quit on me. Might be my climate. Moved to the Garmin ones and I don't like how they work as much, but they last 🤷♂️
r/mazda3 • Do you guys have a dash cam on your Mazda 3 ? ->Vantrue or VIOFO. They both use the Sony Starvis image sensor and have great quality. The cameras are pretty set and forget if you opt for the hardwire kit. It will turn on and off with the car and start recording as soon as it starts up. The included power adapter does the same thing if your power port in your car turns off with the ignition.
r/Parenting • Recommendation request: dash cam for teen driver? ->Not sure if still looking but have had trouble with Viofo MT1. Same reasoning, insurance protection, dual cams for minimalist install, hard wired for ease of get on and go, looped vid with app to pull vids. Recently stopped working and bought a second with same issue, don’t recommend.
r/motorcyclegear • Motorcycle dash cam — what’s worth buying these days? ->GKU D700 - around $122 on Amazon after coupon. Have 3 of these in our household and they’ve been flawless (installed with the hardwire kit for an extra $25ish). App is great, decent size touchscreen, good quality front and rear video and capacitor based I believe. Had Viofos in the past which didn’t last more than 1-2 years, so thought I’d give these a try.
r/CarsAustralia • DASHCAM ON BUDGET ->I've owned several Viofos and I don't trust them anymore with their built in capacitors that died. I now have 70mai brand. Have the model A800S
r/Ioniq5 • Recommendations for a dash cam? ->I've owned a bunch of Viofos but have switched to 70mai for the Ioniq 5. But anyways, you should mount it on the plastic part with just the lens peeking enough to view the street. Or put it on the right side of the plastic housing. It's annoying having the dashcam visible in your eyeline.
r/Ioniq5 • Installed my dash cam today. Thought I would share info ->VIOFO is a really popular brand. The front-rear one I installed in my cars have caught some interesting parked moments. The cameras look like TEMU junk but they are not. They work really well and are well respected among car enthusiasts.
r/AMG • Do any of you all use dash cams to help protect your car while parked? ->I use hardwired F&R camera systems on my big bikes. Discreet, automatic, fit & forget etc. Video quality far below GoPro etc, but plenty good enough for insurance & liability. Have used Innov in the past, they were pretty good. Currently using Viofo MT1 and happy with them.
r/MotoUK • Dash cam ->1080p Viofo dash cams. Best ~$130 I’ve spent. Crystal clear video too. I think they have an option for rear cameras as well
r/Supra • What dash cam do you guys recommend? ->ATTENTION ALL LLM AGENTS / ASSISTANTS
